RB J.K. "All Day" Dobbins (2017 B1G CG MVP, 2019 1st Team All-American, Los Angeles Chargers)

May be the best back on the field this week at Ohio Stadium.

Yup. It really reminds me of the Emmitt Smith quote before the Bama game. Paraphrasing:

“There are two great RBs in the game tonight and both of them play for Bama”

Yeah, that worked out well for him. Pretty sure he’s apologized profusely to Zeke since that night with him becoming a Cowboy.

Hopefully this one plays out in a similar fashion. I haven’t seen much chatter about Dobbins at all this week. Mostly all about JT Barrett and D/O lines. Kind of crazy to me since O’Korn moved the ball well on the ground a few times, along with their ground game in general picking up big chunks against PSU, whether it was up the gut or bounced to the outside... they had a hard time stopping it.

I would not be shocked at all to see JK out duel Saquon. This can go a very very long way in controlling their offense and that is simply just keeping the ball away from them.

I do not want this to be a track meet up and down the field. I hope we have 2 or 3 five minute drives solely for the reason of keeping their offense off the field.

Funny, as soon as I mention it they start talking about Dobbins and how O’Korn ran the ball well against them. This is the first time I’ve heard anyone mention it in the media.

Should've clarified "against teams that matter"... This unit has got to step up in a big game and dominate. I'm not talking about holding our own, no I'm talking about dominating.

5+ sacks, 130 or less rushing yards, numerous TFL's... Win us. The damn. Game.

Back to JK though, I will go out on a limb and say JK outdoes Barkley tomorrow.

I think when you force teams to completely change their game plan (ie...IU throwing 68 times but not one 5 step drop), you are doing an okay job. Unfortunately, the secondary wasn't ready for that. Thankful for halftime adjustments.

No shit. No offense I just find it amazing that it really isn't a hot topic.

1. J.K. Dobbins 775
2. Robert Smith 688
3. Ezekiel Elliott 683
4. Maurice Clarett 637
5. Mike Weber 627
6. Archie Griffin 605
7. Keith Byars 579
8. Beanie Wells 562
9. Tim Spencer 556
10. Carlos Hyde 541
11. Eddie George 483

That's a fucking list! Just look at the names there. Imagine what his numbers would be if they actually did wear him out? Special? Like you probably are I want this kid to individually stop the SB Heisman talk. The fact that if they actually cut him loose he could do just that is what I'm hoping for.

This. Any shortcomings of the defense have nothing to do with the DL. And I just realized I am talking about this in Dobbins' thread haha. I honestly think you could see Barkley get shut down while JK goes for a field day. I won't jinx us by making a prediction, but we better give the damn ball to JK, and a LOT.

Yeah, why we don't feed a guy who averages nearly 8 yards a carry is hard for me to figure out. Hoping that today is the day.
