Semper Fi Buckeyes
Longest run is only 27 yards this season. Still having a nice year but definitely a step down from his rookie year. Needs to regain his explosiveness to be the top RB in the league again

I think he has explosiveness. My theory is that he's trying so hard to make sure that he finishes through contact and turns three yard runs into five yard runs, that his vision has narrowed a bit and he's got so much forward lean that when he does pop through he's a little too off balance to sidestep the safety and break the big runs. Not sure if it's a bit of silly machoness or something else.

Six former Ohio State players are on this year's initial rosters for the NFL's Pro Bowl.
San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward, New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore and New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas represent the Buckeyes on the rosters for the 2020 Pro Bowl, which were announced by the NFL on Tuesday night.

LOOKING AT THE BIGGEST SECOND-YEAR LEAPS OF RECENT OHIO STATE FOOTBALL PLAYERS
EZEKIEL ELLIOTT
Ezekiel Elliott's second-year leap is probably one of the most dramatic in school history.
Elliott didn't play much as a freshman. He backed up workhorse Carlos Hyde and largely saw time in mop-up duty, getting 30 total carries on the season for 262 yards (8.7 yards per carry / insert eyes emoji here / ) and two touchdowns.
But he earned the starting role in the offseason leading up to his sophomore season and put together a historic year for the Buckeyes. Elliott took his 273 carries and ran for 1,878 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2014.
His numbers likely would've been better if he had started the season healthy. Offseason surgery to repair a fractured wrist kept his workload low in Ohio State's first three games, when he averaged just nine carries a game.
But he finished strong, running for 220, 230 and 246 yards in Ohio State's postseason matchups against Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon.
