Said it before, I'll say it again: best running back I ever saw wear scarlet and gray.
Yeah, I saw Archie, Byars and Eddie. All great backs. Zeke beats them all.
I know Zeke will be there for every snap, and I don't mean eligibility.Definitely a valid answer to a very hard question. Personally, if we are just talking running the football, I would probably take Clarett.
Nah Clarett wasn't even close to zeke. Zeke was just as strong but his home run speed is what set him apart.
I dunno. I think Clarett is almost underrated these days b/c of everything that happened to him. He didn't have Zeke's top end speed, but he could still break one. And I disagree that Zeke was as strong as Clarett in terms of being a physical runner. What he did as a true freshman was special. I also think Meyer's system is more conducive to backs putting up big numbers than Tressel's. I mean, Jordan Hall averaged 6.6 yards a carry playing for Meyer. None of this is meant to disparage Zeke. If you are factoring in everything a running back has to do---including staying healthy, which was something Clarett struggled with---Zeke very well might be the best ever at tOSU. But just talking about simply getting a handoff and running the football, I take Clarett.

Clarett would have wrecked shop in Meyer's offense behind Warriner's O Lines. Great vision to go with the power and good enough speed. Carlos Hyde would be the base-level comparison for him and I'm not even sure what the ceiling would be.
