RB DeaMonte “Chip” Trayanum (transfer to Kentucky)

Really think DeaMonte has a bigger future and potential NFL paycheck on the defensive side of the ball. But its his decision to make and if he wants to play RB, then have at it. I have been to ASU's campus a number of times and as @brodybuck21 pointed out, there are certainly worse places to land (and as @BuckeyeNation27 pointed out, the most glaringly obvious being Michigan or PSU). I am definitely going to root for this kid to tear up the West even though I would have loved to see him in Columbus.

We didn't offer as a RB because we had RB's higher on the board still. Plus the staff sees him as a LBer.

Can't help but wonder if he could be revisited and recruited as a RB down the road now that they missed on their bigger targets.

Anything can happen, and of course with an Ohio kid, BUT, he seems really happy with his decision. He's become one of their key personalities in this class, along with Chad Johnson Jr.. ASU looking good on and off the field, could make it harder to turn the tides.

DEAMONTE TRAYANUM, RB, ARIZONA STATE

9675957.jpg

Height: 5-foot-11
Weight: 220 pounds
Hometown: Akron, Ohio
Ranking: Position (23), State (5)

Barton’s Take: Get ready for freshman skill players to be making plays all over the Arizona State offense. Trayanum is going to get the biggest workload of the bunch though. He's a big, physical workhorse type that should start immediately.
