RB Dallan Hayden (transfer to Colorado)

Against North Dakota State last night:

9 carries for 20 yards (which lead the team.....), 2.2 average, 6 yards longest run and 1 pass reception for 14 yards

I don't think anyone can say he'd be in line for carries at OSU.......he should've gotten them the last 2 years and didn't.

But yeah, this feels like a mistake.
Different RB coach, and a much longer season. So not the same scenario, but your point is still very valid.
But the CU offense is set up to emphasize the QB. Last year CU didn't have a 100yd rusher in 1 game! The season high for a RB was 74yds, and that was the only game even over 60yds...

If he left, I would've loved for him to go to a school that would've utilized him more. I know it's only game 1, but I feel like a number of programs(i.e. Tenn, Memphis, Ole Miss, FSU, GA Tech, UK, etc)

The only thing that matters to Deion, is himself, and then, if it's a family member, that he gets to exploit them to glorify himself in the end.

Dallan made a huge mistake going there.

That and that Oline is terrible. Even if Deion wasn't hung up on padding his sons stats, nobody is putting up good rushing stats behind that line.

Renck: Get to know CU Buffs running back Dallan Hayden’s name. Ohio State transfer was born to run.

Former Buckeye standout says decision to join Coach Prime’s Buffs program in Boulder was easy: “The offense, the offensive line they put together, I felt like, ‘Why not come to CU?’”

He transferred from Ohio State in April after turning heads in two years with the Buckeyes. Hayden arrived with no guarantees, just a chance to prove himself.

“I am really looking forward to this,” Hayden said. “Competition brings out the best in everyone.”

Hayden found Boulder as much as the Buffs landed him. He wasn’t looking to leave Ohio State, but circumstances changed. He entered his third year in a crowded backfield featuring Heisman candidate TreVeyon Henderson and transfer Quinshon Judkins. After rushing for 553 yards on 111 carries as a freshman, Hayden played in only three games last season, leaving him with three more years of eligibility.

A fresh start at CU made sense. The gravitational pull of Coach Prime didn’t hurt.

“I enjoyed my time at Ohio State. It was about doing what was best for my future. Coach Prime is building a great program. I know he gets a lot of hate that he really doesn’t deserve because he’s done a great job here. And everywhere he has been, they have won,” Hayden said. “The offense, the offensive line they put together, I felt like, ‘Why not come to CU?’”

Just sayin': Yeah, he chose poorly. He said “Competition brings out the best in everyone.”; however, he transferred from Ohio State because he didn't want the competition from Quinshon Judkins. In addition, I wonder how big of NIL deal he was offered from Colorado and if that impacted his decision to transfer to there.

And that’s not the decision to transfer, at this point it looks like almost any other school he could have chosen would have been a better situation for him.
I’m sure “Coach Prime” is quite the used car salesman and I don’t know Hayden’s other options, but this whole thing had head on car crash written all over it from the start, then they threw out the OC and replaced him with Pat fucking Shumur and turned it in to the Hindenburg disaster.
