RB Brandon "Zoom" Saine (official thread)

Brandon is an offensive threat, IMO he will start next year and possibly alternate with Beanie in the backfield. tOSU has several recuits that could easily fill defensive positions in the next few years.

Do you really think he could start?

Despite rumors, I'm assuming Pittman will start in 07 until I hear otherwise that he's leaving. Having seen both Beanie and Pittman play in person, I don't see any way that Brandon would be starting next year, even if Pittman leaves. He'll play, but he's not gonna start.

Brandon and all the '07 recruits have a chance to start. Not likely though since the team has so much talant. Reshirting may be a possibility for some. We can speculate all we want and hope for our favorite '07 players to get a shot at playing next year. We all have those that we would like to see on the field next year. I for one like Dane and Saine, then there Herron, Evege, Washington.... JT will have much to mull over in the off-season.

If Brandon Saine starts next year, I will buy everyone on the board a 56" plasma flatscreen tv. With Pitt there, it's an absolute no way. With Beanie there and Pitt gone, it's still an absolute no way. I LOVE the kid and am very excited about his potential, but I think anyone who thinks he might actually start at RB is getting a bit ahead of themselves.

Flat Screens for all.

Panasonic makes a good one. Anything could happen with the line up and again it's a good prblem to have. We all just want to see him kick ass the way he did in HS. All the recruits are there because JT saw potential. Saine just happens to be a very special RB, let's hope he can at least run a few kick-offs back so I can watch him on my new plasma.

McAllen Student Vying for High School Heisman Award
pxl_trans.gif

McAllen Memorial High senior Bradley Stephens is in a tight race for the High School Heisman award which goes to the best high school football player in the United States.
Today (Monday, Dec. 4) is the last day for fans to cast an online vote in the contest.
Stephens, who is already the Valley's all time leading rusher, is one of 12 players from 12 different states who have been nominated for this award. Stephens is the only one from Texas.
A grass roots campaign to produce votes for Stephens has been underway for several weeks. People can vote online at www.nextlevelfootballonline.com/webpolls.html.
At present, Stephens is holding a narrow lead over Brandon Saine, a football player from Piqua, Ohio.
This season, Stephens has rushed for a Valley-best 2,541 yards and scored 33 touchdowns. He has five more TDs receiving, giving him a total of 38 touchdowns in 13 games this season. According the The Monitor, Stephens has 7,861 yards rushing in four varsity seasons - an all-time Valley best.
The website also allows viewers to cast votes for the top offensive lineman, defensive player and linebacker. No other Valley players are on these lists. The site only allows one vote per computer.
The High School Heisman is part of the 2007 Max Emfinger Special Recognition Awards.
Next Level Football, which hosts the awards webpage, was created in 2005 to help generate exposure for high school athletes looking to compete in college athletics and for college athletes looking to play professional sports.
