Random Thoughts/Theories/Conjecture thread.

Dude, why do u gotta be a dick? If anybody needs "mental health" it's probably the guy who is wasting his time to look up all that info just to flame someone's post online.

I like the idea, cbus. Reminds me of the ol' tracter beam on StarTrek. (I, um, read about that one  )

Hubbard:

I'm not sure I'm buying the liquid oxygen thing. Isn't liquid oxygen super cooled? I'd think that to be immersed in liquid oxygen would be similar to being immersed in liquid nitrogen. No thanks.

Yes I did mis-speak there, liquid oxygen/nitrogen is really cold, would kill you. A solution that contained a very high % of oxygen is what would be needed, so your lungs could absorb it. That mouse died shortly after that picture was taken too :p.

If we are indeed doing a behavioral analysis of people. Can someone explain to me why whenever anyone "recaps" a previous phone conversation they had with someone else they feel the need to make the simulated phone out of their hand to do it. I don't feel as though I need them holding their thumb up to their ear and their pinky to their mouth to understand the fact that they were talking to someone on the phone.

Okay

Carry on.

Alright, whatever haha.

Alright, here is #2. This one isn't quite so nerdy/far out as the last one was.

I hadn't thought about this before, but I saw a few days ago that e85 ethanol (the fuel thats made from fermented plants, which is helping cut down on fuel prices around the world) is nothing more than 200 proof alcohol.

If e85 ethanol is simply 200 proof alcohol, won't that make it legal for teenagers to buy alcohol in 200 proof form? Obviously it's meant for cars, but if you mix a little bit with some coke, you have a spiked coke drink that you bought at the gas station. I doubt it would, but I think it's possible this could become a dilemma with the underage alcohol laws?

Where did you get the idea that e85 is 100 percent ethanol? It is in fact a mixture of 85 percent ethanol, 15 percent gasoline.

Neither tasty nor non-toxic.

In my case it's because I like to do that little thing with my thumb and pinky. It's lots of fun.
