Raising Future Buckeyes

Hey! My bride is a Texas A&M grad. She's all Buckeye now!

My wife graduated from Purdue and is all Buckeye now, of course she has no choice in my home. There are no outcasts in my house as in the house i grew up in. I grew up catholic and was the only buckeye fan in my house the rest cheered for old Notre Dame.

I've been asking my son what position he's going to play for the Buckeyes since he could speak. He refers to football as "Buckeyes" (as in, he says Buckeyes, and the world should know he's talking about football - "Dad, let's play Buckeyes") He is allowed to express the emotion that "Michigan Sucks" without any recourse from me regarding his language (he's 4).

She's been known to give me an unhappy look when I allow "Michigan Sucks" ... actually, now that I think about it, she looks unhappy at me when I say to him that Michigan Sucks.

I get that too. Not from Ryn of course, but Trisha has a pretty good "I disapprove" look as well.

Thats awesome. When OSU played Northwestern here this year I was at the game and sitting next to me was this family. The kid was all decked out in a buckeye jumpsuit and had his face painted. He would get out of his seat and go as close as he could and start yelling "GO BUCKS!!!" He would get mad when Northwestern would score. It was one of the funniest and greatest things I have ever seen. Buckeye fans are the best fans.

i was there too and that was the coolest young buckeye i've ever seen. it should also be mentioned that it was the osu v. nw basketball game

One of the first words either of my kids could say was Buckeye. I about jumped out of my pants the first time my son saw the buckeye desktop icon and threw a fist pump while shouting my favorite words "Go Buckeyes!". I can't remember how old he was when he could first walk or anything else, but I remember that day clear as can be.

Hell yeah every man especailly a Buckeye fan needs a supportive wife.
I me putting blue and yellow on a child and expecting to be a scUM fan, is straight up child abuse. I think thats what Charles Manson did to his kids. We all know how that turned out.

Yes. My parents seemed unaware that colleges had football teams. Fools.

No kids, but I did use the Buckeyes to illustrate a point in a completely inappropriate business setting recently and over the course of the day three different people repeated it back to me as the best part of the morning... so watch out...
