Probably not the right place for this post but here goes. If this needs to be moved feel free to do so and I apologize.
Hey guys, Oklahoma State alum and huge college football fan. I actually played football at Oklahoma State and the last game of my career was the Alamo Bowl beat down in 2004. Thanks btw..lol. Anyway, sort of a shot in the dark here but I?ll be in Columbus Wednesday and Thursday on business and want to make it a point to soak up as much of the ?Ohio State experience? as possible. Growing up in Oklahoma I?ve been a college football fan my whole life and naturally have a healthy appreciation for Ohio State. The tradition, the history, all the great players etc. Playing against you guys like I said in ?04, even though we got it handed to us a little bit, is a memory I?ll have with me for the rest of my life. I?ve had this trip planned for a week or so but it wasn?t until about 15 minutes ago that I realized just how close I would be to your campus! Suddenly my mid week trip to Ohio just became a lot more interesting to say the least!
While I?m in town, I?m hoping to check out the campus, bars, restaurants, stadium, all the sights and sounds so to speak. Anything you can think of that a poor little okie like myself might like to see while I?m in town. I?ll be working most of the time unfortunately but should have some free time Wednesday and Thursday evenings. According to Mapquest I?m only like 6 miles from Ohio Stadium so right now my only plan includes working, eating, and getting as close to your football stadium as humanly possible to see what has been described to me as one of the most beautiful stadiums in the country!
But like I said, any tips or recommendations for an out of towner would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I?m a jogger, just 4-5 miles a day, and would love some advice on where I could possibly run around campus that might include the stadium. Thought I might be able to park the rental car somewhere and do that one morning. Maybe bring my camera if that?s a possibility.
Thanks in advance. Go Pokes and Go Buckeyes!
