If this is her first ear infection I would probably be prone to getting a second opinion if the tubes are really needed. The fact of the matter is, kids get ear infections from time to time. Chronic ear infections however need more intervention, such as tubes.
If it is determined she does in fact need tubes just do your homework, find the best pediatric ENT. Children are extremely resilient, the parents are the ones that turn into basketcases, keep in mind, your daughter will pick up on your emotion so remind yourself that what is being done is in her best interest and stay calm.
