Question about Foxboro, Mass.

Since when did Foxboro become "Foxborough"?

I've noticed the spelling change this year during football games.

Did the town change the spelling or was it always spelled wrrong to begin with?

New Englanders were confused by a word in which they had to pronounce all of the syllables. By adding more letters, they can now pronounce Foxborough in the same fucked up way they pronounce every other suburb of boston - its now pronounced "FOX-buh"

The one I can't stand up here is Peabody. It's Pee-bdee. It's like you're saying it with a nasty cold. Ick.

:slappy: exactly.

Ive got friends from college from each of these places - when I first went to Boston I was very surprised when it didnt appear as if the cities were even on the map. Malbruh is another goodie.
