QB1 Will Howard (Official Thread)

Damn I’m so pumped up for this guy.

If we get our defense back like it’s rumored then we don’t need a CJ Stroud performance to win it all. That said, If Howard can put up nine more touchdowns than McCord without the talent around him he’s in for a big time year.

Give me a kid who’s not going to be denied near the goal line. Our red zone numbers should sky rocket, Henderson should find a ton more room to operate and play action should see a huge boost too.

Can’t wait. Now just go shore up that offensive line and woah look out if our defense returns.
I believe the red zone improvement will be the best thing about Howard.

I‘m looking forward to a mixture of zone reads, RPOs, rollouts, and good old-fashioned QB sneaks.

Of course, a couple of protectors via portal OL will be helpful.

Yeah I expect more stuff like what we tried to run with Brown in the redzone. With far less of him missing the wide open hole

I am pumped. Even if we get Kyle McCord + mobility, that's going to be huge. But I agree in that we are going to get something better for all the reasons you've stated.

Our offensive line was bad. Mobility is probably going to be more of a necessity than a luxury.
He’s not JF but he may be JT who won a lot of games including against scUM. We are better today than yesterday.

Great insight! It's all about points and I think that Will the Thrill will improve our red zone production significantly. Really excited about this addition.

This is the guy I wanted. Love his size and aggressiveness. He loves to use his TE's which I also love too. The best attributes added to the QB room are the fact that he wins rivalry games, he's tough and has already been through tough times and came back out on top. The talent level around him rises exponentially so if the stats prove out, he could have a mammoth season. The sneaky good part about picking him up is now we will have 4 QBs with roughly the same skill set. There are no statues which will make the Oline look better and keep plays alive. More importantly, if someone should go down, the Offense should look the same as far as what we run which was obviously not the case in that bullshit Cotton Bowl. If this is Ryan Day's last chance to win The Game, his QB room will be a strong point along with the WRs so in my opinion, it's Game ON!

A few K-State fans have said that the decision was made because it will be easier getting to the NFL in a "weak Big Ten" than in the B12. Apparently, these morons are unaware that in next year's playoff, the B1G would have had 5 teams in, and the B12 would have none.
Trust me, their small fanbase in Manhattan has damn near zero football IQ.
