LOL...ya, maybe it's me...but was that a shot at JT and the offensive staff? I read it as, it's a really good thing they had Pryor, b/c that offense is garbage....

I didn't take it that way - I took the meaning to be 'much of the effectiveness of that offense was reliant on the physical abilities of Pryor as QB'.

Somebody could have made a similar comment about Florida's offense a couple of years ago, and it wouldn't have been a shot at either Tebow or the Gator offense. The offense was designed with the QB's abilities in mind, but it was only effective because of the specific abilities of the QB.

Can't agree more. People would say "look at that offense if it didn't have TP in it!"

Well... the offense did have TP in it, and that's why it worked the way it did. I think elevenwarriors put up a pretty good article about how ALL of last year's offense was designed around TP. Take him out, and no wonder it looks like it flounders.

I also take it as an indication of how little college football coaches really know about teams other than their own and the ones on their schedule or in their league. They spend so much time preparing their own team and watching film of opponents there is little time to pay attention to the ones that they're not facing.

I thought he was saying...Pryor did more in that offense than he thought...he is like my father in law that thought Pryors record was what it was because of defense and a running game...My father in law lives in Kentucky and watches ESPN for news

Urban prolly got esophageal spasms watching his film

It's you.

How long are you going to keep that misrepresented Urban quote as your sig? He's gone, you know.
