QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

At his current pace, he's looking at 2700 yards passing, 30 TDs passing, 6 INTs, 8.8 YPA, 68% completion rate, 700 yards rushing, 6 rushing TDs, and 6.2 YPC on the season.

For the sake of comparison, some guy named Troy Smith won the Heisman trophy with 2542 yards passing, 30 TDs passing, 6 INTs, 8.2 YPA, 65.3% completion rate, 204 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD, and 2.8 YPC.

I fully expect Terrelle's numbers to dip slightly as we start playing better teams. But that notwithstanding, he's having one of the best seasons (statistically) in recent memory. I literally can't recall another Buckeye having a year like this. Just think of what he'd be doing if we didn't shut down the offense in the second half of 80% of our games this season.

I expect his numbers to improve because he will now actually be able to play entire ball games, and he's continuing to get better every week. With our lack of a run game our only choice is for Pryor to throw the ball all over the yard. I think he gets to 3000.

Great work IC...one thing you have to keep in mind though is this. Even though we'll be playing better competition, TP will be playing 4 quarters most likely. I don't think his stat trends will shift too much.

I don't buy that it was Pryor's knee brace that popped. I think they are probably trying to cover up a minor injury. Was this the 1st game in his career he didn't try and run once (even that one sack avoidance/ scramble he didn't really try and run...)

No big deal either way, though. I imagine he'll be running again @ Camp Randall next week & he looked as good winging it today as he ever has.

Yeah, it's really hard to tell. Either your right or they're trying to play some mind game with the fighting Bielemas. He may have easily been told to not take off and run, no matter what, as long as it looked like we had this game in the bag. Keep'em guessing? Wouldn't surprise me either way.

Todays game is all the proof that you need in the OSU staff when it comes to developing QBs.

Terrelle was not a very good QB when he got here, but was an amazing runner. In a little over 2 years, TP just had a game where his threat to run was voluntarily taken away, and he legitimately scanned the field and picked apart an opposing defense.

Michigan and Oregon would have had Terrelle just run an offense where, quite honestly, he would have been as good as he could get in his first year.

And that's a big reason for his choice to come here, and it's paying off in a big way.
