QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- A person familiar with the meeting confirms to The Associated Press that free agent Terrelle Pryor visited with the receiver- and quarterback-needy Buffalo Bills.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the team has not disclosed the visit, which took place before the Bills hosted the New England Patriots on Monday night. ESPN.com first reported Pryor's visit to Buffalo.

Pryor has been used as mostly as a receiver at the NFL level, and had 14 catches for 235 yards and two touchdowns with the Jets. He also has experience at quarterback, which is the position he played during a three-year career at Ohio State.

The Bills have needs at both positions.

I dunno......I think I'd rather take a practice squad WR role somewhere.

No, I think I'd rather be on the Bill's 53 man roster.

Experience: 6th season

The NFL minimum salaries for players with 4-6 years is $790,000, with 7-9 years is $915,000.

For the 2018 season, practice squad players can make no less than $7,600 per week, which equates to $129,200 for the season.

Credited Seasons (CS) are the most frequently used form of experience. In order for a player to earn a credited season they must be on “full pay status for a total of three or more regular season games (Art. 26, Sec. 2, 146).”

A player who is on the Exempt Commissioner Permission List, the Reserve PUP List, a team’s practice squad, or the Injured Reserve List will not accumulate games towards a CS.

Also, in order to accrue a season, a player must be on (or should have been on) full pay status for six or more regular season games. As with players earning Credited Seasons, a player can’t accrue seasons if he is on the Exempt Commissioner Permission List, the Reserve PUP List, a team’s practice squad, or the Injured Reserve List.

The Bills are turning to Terrelle Pryor to help solve their offensive woes, signing the former Buckeye quarterback and now NFL wide receiver this week.

Pryor joins an offense that hasn't scored a touchdown in two full games and 15 consecutive quarters. The Bills have had to deal with the loss of rookie Josh Allen, who suffered a season-ending injury, as well as a concussion to 35-year-old veteran Derek Anderson, who they brought in as a starter.

Buffalo will presumably start Nathan Peterman at quarterback this week against the Bears, but the Bills undoubtably hope Pryor can provide a boost to the ailing offense. And hey, he does have experience as an NFL quarterback.

Bills sign Terrelle Pryor, who immediately becomes Buffalo's best quarterback and receiver

Should the Bills start Pryor over Nathan Peterman? It might not be as insane as it sounds

The Buffalo Bills, a team starved for starting-caliber players at nearly every offensive position, signed former quarterback and current wide receiver Terrelle Pryor on Tuesday not long after it was revealed that starting quarterback Derek Anderson is in the concussion protocol, likely giving Nathan Peterman another chance to start and add to his already impressive interception total. All signs indicate the Bills signed Pryor to play receiver, but the news of the signing has the NFL community wondering if the Bills might be better off starting Pryor rather than Peterman against the Bears on Sunday.

It's not an unfair suggestion. Now that Pryor is on the Bills' roster, he might not just be their best receiver. He also might be their best quarterback.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS EXPECTED TO SIGN TERRELLE PRYOR, PER REPORT

Pryor also joins one of his former Ohio State teammates, Andrew Norwell, on the Jaguars' roster.

It's hard to believe that Terelle has (so far and is still playing) a 6 year and $14M NFL career.

That's not too bad with his carteer stats:

Plus, he holds the NFL record for longest run by a QB.
