Totally agree. Before Herbstreit does and waves in front of TP for being a "fake Buckeye".Pryor needs to log on and buy that fucking thing back.
For Pryor, challenge of being first-time starter extends beyond field
A forgotten man his first two years in the NFL, Terrelle Pryor is now firmly in the spotlight as the Raiders' starter.

It's midday of an October Friday, and with the Raiders in their bye week after losing four of their first six games, many players have left town to recharge and regroup. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor isn't among them. He's spent this morning at the team's training facility in Alameda, Calif., devouring digital cut-ups for things to work on, most notably not drifting in the pocket when taking snaps from shotgun formations.
Despite showing promise over the first half of the season -- his 58.9 completion percentage tops that of Andrew Luck, Tom Brady and Eli Manning, for instance, and his 63 rushing yards per game lead all quarterbacks -- he has been sloppy as times, especially in the previous Sunday's 24-7 loss at Kansas City. So he grabs a football and corrals quarterbacks coach John DeFillipo and prepares to head out back to an empty practice field, only to receive word from GM Reggie McKenzie that the impromptu session was impermissible because it would violate the collective bargaining agreement, which requires players to have four consecutive off days during the bye week.
Undeterred, Pryor tucks the ball and relocates to an off-site field where he practices his drops until his quads burn and sweat beads roll down his face. Then he slides into his sleek black Mercedes coupe and heads to his townhouse at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Oakland Hills. The view is spectacular. From the living room he can see the Bay Bridge to the right, and past it, San Francisco, partially hidden by a low marine layer. In the valley below sits antiquated O.co Coliseum, where he plays home games and two weeks prior led a stunning late-night upset of the Chargers, in which he completed 18-of-23 passes for 221 yards, two scores and a 135.7 passer rating.
But football is the last thing on this 24-year-old's mind right now; his body is tired, his head sleepy. He has put in more practice hours and taken more game snaps in the first six weeks of 2013 than he did in his first two years combined, when he was a backup. He wants to nap as he unfolds his 6-foot-4, 233-pound frame over a white leather chair, but he's unable to do so because punter Marquette King, a close friend, and marketing manager Tyler Acevedos are visiting. A national media outlet also is calling repeatedly in hopes of setting up a photo shoot the next day, and two other journalists from another national magazine are waiting to conduct a previously scheduled interview.
Such are the blessings and curses of being a starting quarterback in the NFL. For Pryor, who entered the league as a third-round supplemental draft choice in 2011, his time was basically his own his first two seasons. He was third on the depth chart, which meant he was basically invisible to coaches, whose time was spent preparing the starter and, to a lesser extent, the backup each week. But that changed before the season opener, when Pryor beat out Matt Flynn for the starting job. After doing only a handful of interviews each of his first two seasons, he received 50-75 requests in the first week he was formally named the starter. His life has not been the same since.
Over the first eight weeks of the season Pryor provided SI with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what young quarterbacks face when becoming a full-time starter for the first time. Talents such as Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson made it look easy last year, when they led their clubs to the playoffs as rookies. But the challenges are significant. The most notable for Pryor were learning to manage his time and outsiders' expectations; establishing himself as a leader; and dealing with adversity.

The Raiders declared quarterback Terrelle Pryor out for the Houston Texans game Sunday, which cleared the way for undrafted rookie Matt McGloin to make his first NFL regular-season start.
Pryor still is hobbled from the MCL sprain in his right knee that he suffered against the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 3. He played against the New York Giants last Sunday but was limited in his movement and effectiveness.
Pryor practiced some Wednesday but not much Thursday or Friday. That prompted coach Dennis Allen to shut down Pryor and turn over the reins to McGloin on Sunday.

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Twice the Oakland Raiders unveiled the Wildcat formation on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
PryorTwice the direct snap went to fullback Marcel Reece.
And twice Reece ran straight ahead into the offensive line, picking up 1 yard and then ... 1 yard.
There was no fake involved, Reece simply looking for a hole and going. One week earlier in Houston, tailback Rashad Jennings took the direct snap and faked a handoff before going 80 yards for a touchdown.
Alas, with quarterback Terrelle Pryor healthy enough to be active for the Titans game, he remained on the sidelines. He was the lone Raiders player to not get in the game.
And yet, coach Dennis Allen said Pryor, who has a franchise-record 93-yard touchdown run on his résumé against Pittsburgh earlier this season, had a package of plays ready to go.
Yes, in that direct snap formation.
“That was part of what our plan was going into the game,” Allen said. “We had some plays in for Terrelle but I felt like if we could play this game and still do well offensively and didn’t have to use those packages we’d be able to give him another week to heal up a little bit.”
Pryor has not played since re-aggravating his sprained right knee against the New York Giants on Nov. 10, giving way to Matt McGloin the past two weeks.
“I think that was beneficial to him,” Allen said of Pryor, who is the Raiders’ second-leading rusher, with 504 yards on 68 carries.
“We’ll see how that goes moving forward, if there’s a way we can get him into the game in some of those packages.”
Terrelle Pryor will get another chance, at some point

Undrafted rookie quarterback Matt McGloin has started three straight games for the Raiders. He’ll get a fourth. Eventually, however, Terrelle Pryor will get another chance.
That’s what Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Friday, a day after a 31-24 loss to the Cowboys.
“I don’t think he’s done anything to play himself out of that position,” Allen said of McGloin, via Steve Corkran of Bay Area News Group.
Eventually, Pryor will play again, as the Raiders try to figure out what they have and what they need at the quarterback position.
“We need to have a good evaluation of what we have at the quarterback position as we move forward,” Allen said. “These last four weeks will be instrumental in us being able to do that.”
For Allen, the bigger question is whether moving forward he’ll be involved in figuring out who the quarterback will be moving forward.
Terrelle Pryor still Raiders’ best long-term QB option

While Matt McGloin will be making his fourth start for the Raiders at quarterback this weekend, Terrelle Pryor (2) still might be the best option for the team long-term.
No NFL team rises to the top without the right quarterback, so it’s going to be imperative for the Raiders to settle on their quarterback of the future. Frankly, I’m not sure they’re making the right choice right now.
Matt McGloin will start his fourth game Sunday in New York against the Jets. He’s played well enough to get that opportunity but I hope they’re not giving up on Terrelle Pryor. McGloin is a more traditional quarterback, but Pryor has some special skills that could make him the best choice by next year, if not this year.

Will Pryor play again this season?

NEWARK, N.J. -- Only a fool would think Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen would reveal fully his game plan for the New York Jets in general, how he'd use backup quarterback Terrelle Pryor in particular.
PryorYet Allen gave enough clues throughout the week to suggest Pryor could see game action for the first time since Nov. 10, when he played on this same MetLife Stadium turf ... on a bum right knee against the New York Giants.
"Obviously, you go into a game and you have a game plan," Allen said this week. "You have some things that you have designed to do within the game and then, really, the game dictates a lot of times what you end up doing.
"We'd like to see Terrelle at some point again and give him another opportunity and continue to evaluate him. The biggest thing is, we want to utilize the guys and do the things we feel like gives us the best chance to have success offensively, defensively, in the kicking game. If we feel like he gives us an advantage, then we'll try to use him."
How's that for being committed to being non-committal?
Here's the thing, though -- while many of Pryor's supporters are screaming that he should get a chance to see what he can do now that the offensive line is relatively healthy and stable, the unreliability of the O-line at the beginning of the season is what opened the door for Pryor and his running game in the first place.
Simply put, his mobility made him the best choice and chance for success behind a leaky line.

I thought he was going to change quarterbacking as we know it not be a back up. That being said I wish he would get a chance with a real professional team, not Oakland.Pryor issued statement (via Twitter, I believe?) stating that he doesn't share this opinion with his agent. Says he appreciates the opportunity to start and just wants to win the game. Hey, if nothing else, he plays well and someone else goes after him in the off season. Steelers? Browns? Carolina (wouldn't he be a good backup to Cam Newton?)? Buffalo? Miami? shoot, he could put some excitement back into a lot of lackluster teams.
