QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Pryor?s workout creates third-round buzz
Posted by Mike Florio on August 21, 2011

Every quarterback ever taken in the supplemental draft, from Dave Wilson (Saints) in 1981 to Bernie Kosar (Browns) in 1985 to Steve Walsh (Cowboys) in 1989 to Timm Rosenbach (Cardinals) in 1989 to Dave Brown (Giants) in 1992, came off the board in round one. Though agent Drew Rosenhaus has declared that Terrelle Pryor will follow suit, the more realistic assessment falls lower.

But not as lower as previously believed.

Initially, Pryor was believed to be headed for the fourth- to sixth-round range. Pryor?s Pro Day workout, which featured a 40-yard dash timed anywhere from 4.36 to 4.41 seconds, has helped move the target zone for Pryor into round three.

Teams to watch include the Bengals, Redskins, Dolphins, and Steelers.

The Browns also need to be taken seriously, as pointed out by the two guys on NBC who have a brand new desk behind which they stand.

And the Terrelle Pryor winner is ... The NFL's Supplemental Draft will be held today, and it wouldn't be surprising to see several teams duel over quarterback suspect Terrelle Pryor of Ohio State. The three players most likely to be picked are Pryor, Georgia running back Caleb King and Lindenwood (Mo.) defensive end Keenan Mace.

Teams wishing to acquire a player in a supplemental draft put in a blind bid to the league office today, and the team that bid the highest round for the player is awarded him. So if the Bengals bid a fourth-round pick for Pryor and the Raiders a fifth-, Cincinnati gets him. My favorite to pick the controversial Ohio State quarterback is Cincinnati.

With that 40 time, I have a feeling it's going to be pretty high. With the additional picks next year, I wouldn't be terribly upset if the Browns could grab him in round 2 or 3. A creative offensive mind can find ways to utilize that God-given ability in numerous ways.
Where would he play? I wouldn't want to waste next years 2nd for a 3rd string QB.. maybe the 5th or 6th, but not the 2nd or 3rd.. 4th is pushing it.. let someone else grab him.

TP has come out and recently said he'd play anywhere.. but that's lip service IMHO.

Nah. Their violations were for necessary things, like abortions and strippers. And probably blow. Nothing even remotely bad as tattoos.
That's not why he got 5 games in the NFL..

If he would of declared back in January, no suspension.

And, unrelated to the quotes above, how does anyone see him being a TE? I get his measurables, but he's got to BLOCK and HIT at TE.. right?

I see him as a run straight down the field and jumpball WR. I don't see him blocking or running over the middle. I think he would fit best on a team that needs a 3rd string Wildcat QB that can also give you 10-20 plays a game at WR.

I can see that too, but no way does he play TE in the League. Wildcat, 3rd string QB (maybe 2nd depending on the team/offense), and some snaps at wideout.
