Actually, despite Jwins' post in the TP thread, I'm blaming meat-head fans.
Meat-heads are offended!

What's your basis for saying so? How well do you know the young man yourself?
I'm not commenting about him personally at all. It requires some serious gymnastics to suggest that the reason Pryor is leaving is because the fans and media were brutal.

I'm not suggesting people were very reasonable towards Terrelle. A stunningly sizeable subset of the Shoe never seemed to like the guy, screaming all sorts of absurd things at him every week (though they were more furious with JT for not benching him for Bauserman)

I'm simply stating that Pryor isn't entering the problematic supplemental draft route, while still injured, because of unfriendly reactions. He has bigger issues at play here.

I'd say a comment that definitively stated that his motivation was not because of fan reaction would require pretty full understanding of the young man personally. To be fair, I suppose my own statement presupposes the same thing.

Bottom line is that we're both inferring Terrelle's likely motivation, and either of us could be wrong.

After the Michigan game in November who would have thought we would be here! TP didn't deserve all of the criticism he faced while on the field but does deserve what he is getting for his indiscretions...(and I don't mean getting hounded by the media)

I still think that JT would have wanted him to finish what he started but I just don't think it could possibly happen....just too much division amongst the players.

OSU Statement-

Director of Athletics Gene Smith: ?We understand Terrelle?s decision and wish him well in this next phase of his life. We hope he returns to The Ohio State University one day to finish his degree.?

Head Coach Luke Fickell: ?I was notified this evening that Terrelle has decided to pursue a professional career. I wish him the best in his pursuits.?

Other than saying - profound sense of unmet promise for this year, for reasons everyone knows - I'm going to take your exact tack.

He was a lot better QB and player than most gave him credit for(outside of Osu) when he was on Osu could not be beat.

It was obvious when Tressel left TP was next. I am guessing some more dirt will be coming out. True or not the kid was a hell of an athlete.

I won't miss him and that is a compliment.
