QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Some bold statements made by TP that I completely agree with. TP took a gamble in choosing a system in which he could potentially become a pro quarterback for many many years over running a gimmick offense where he would shred people. I respect him for that. I also think he realizes he's no where near where he needs to be to enter the NFL as a strictly a passing QB. I honestly think he will by this time next year and that's on his passing alone.

The crazy thing is that if he were in another system he would be even further away....

But I completely agree. I've been saying that his jump as a QB will be even greater over this next year than it was over this last year. People are going to be surprised. It's going to get easier from here on out. Consistency is key. He's got the work ethic. Just keep working mentally and mechanically, Terrelle.

He's going to be GREAT next year, I believe.

This.

Pryor came to OSU to play to his weakness. Still he is destroying every record in the books. Still OSU stands at 11-1 despite the lack of a power running game for much of the season and a defense that is arguably below the high standards set over the past several years.

Put together a highlight reel of his off target passes and I will counter with one of TP shedding tackles. He is a freak of an athlete who is trying to force himself into a system that emphasizes other attributes. The only expectations he has failed to meet are those the fans themselves have created from whole cloth.

I refuse to believe that Northwestern would be worse with Pryor than with Persa. And just imagine the Wisky power offense with Pryor as an added threat. The voters who put these guys ahead of him were judging a beauty contest.

If TP was running the ball 30 times a game he would have been knocked out or hurt before the year was up, just like DR and Dan Persa. He is very lucky to have a staff smart enough to realize this and to realize that he needs to learn to read defenses and to develope his throwing mechanics. He is still a work in progress.

I am thinking this was the point he was trying to make....at least I hope so.

Where would have Scott Tolzein been without his power running game and a pretty good defense and a dominate DE?

If anything Persa did more with less than any QB in the Big10.

Just was talked about on PTI, about his statement on how he could dominate if he was in a different system. Tony was sticking up for him and Wilbon was just the opposite and thinks were going to lose our bowl 72-14.

Whatever Wilbon is smoking, I want me some of that....His hallucinations are unreal.....
