QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

It also seems like we've gotten away from the quick slants- Granted, some of this is due to Teddy "I deserve a 10 yard cushion" Ginn being able to make his own space, but I also wonder if it might have something to do with a struggle in throwing the quick pass.

I think it has more to do probably with what we're seeing. We utilized a lot of slant patterns against Oregon when we saw some man coverage. I would venture to guess that we don't see as much man coverage in general because of Pryor's running ability.

I don't care about anything other than wins. He won us this game. I don't care about the picks, a few bad throws, dropped balls, penalties, frustration, crowd noise, etc. When it was 4th and 10 with the game on the line, Terrelle Pryor showed out. Clutch. Lets build off of that guys. We've got Michigan this week. 'Nuff said.

The casual fan need to realize that TP isn't Andrew Luck. He's not going to go on a seven step drop and hit a beautiful deep ball. He is still rough around the edges, but he brings things to the table that are hard to quantify. Like Mali says, he wins. I think most of us around here realize that, but it's frustrating watching games around casual fans. They are way to quick to judge his mistakes. If I hear one more asshole say that TP should be a WR I may go off the deep end (I know that no one around here says that, but around Cbus it is still a common opinion)! I think that athletes like Pryor need to be judged under a different microscope. Was the pick in the endzone awful, absolutely, but how sweet was the first down run on the game winning drive? Casual fans are so apt to remember the bad plays and not give credit to the ad lib great plays. At the end of the day, games are won and lost at the margin. Without TP making plays when there is nothing available, we have 3 losses this season. I wouldn't have it any other way. TP is our QB and I love it.

TP and Cam Newton are very similar. Same size, comprable arm strength, both extremely athletic for their size.

I think Cam is a more physical runnier (always falls forward on runs, takes on contact more frequently, doesn't get OB at first opportunity). Cam has shown a nice arm, and has really had some nice throws this season.

What frustrates me though, is the lack of focus on Cam reading defenses. It's Tim Tebow all over again. Sure, he's a fantastic college QB, but the guy abolsutely does not read defenses. They (Auburn) punish defenses all game with the QB run or Dyer...but when they put it in the air it's a one read system just like Tebow ran at Florida.

I'm about 99% sure if an NFL team were to take Newton or Pryor, they'd take Pryor first. He's way more advanced in reading defenses.

In college, it's basically been proven you're better off going straight college-style, having one read and asking your QB to be a playmaker after that. Tressel has honored his committment to Terrelle to make him NFL ready and the offense still struggles a bit because of it.

I've seen him do that a lot this year. There's no doubt in my mind he can make NFL throws. Consistency is all he has to show. Glad he'll be coming back for his senior year. That should give him the chance to clean up those freshman moments he still has.

I haven't read many of the posts or what people are saying about this game. But to me that was one of the most remarkable performances I have ever seen out of an Ohio State quarterback. Everything was going against him. Tons of penalties by teammates, and then even more were all of the dropped balls. Any yes Pryor tried to do too much at times for sure, trying to force 3rd down conversions that weren't there. BUT what will always stick with me is the 4th down play. Pryor had already had his go to, never drop a pass, 3rd down conversion machine guy in Dane drops a huge pass...and then on 3rd down he throws a perfect ball to his other go to guy, Posey, that goes right through his hands. And yet, without a timeout, Pryor composes himself in less than a minute and is able to calmly run for a first down, and then throw another great ball to get OSU to the 2 yard line and lead us to a game winning TD. He may have made a few mistakes today, but it seemed as though nothing was going right on the offense...and they were all looking at Pryor to lead them...and in the 4th quarter lead them he did! What a leader.

This team has shown a lot to me. Their will to win was evident last week against PSU...and again it was present against Iowa. We just wanted it more and the Buckeyes would not be denied. I enjoyed watching this years squad a lot before the PSU game...but in the past two weeks the 2010 Buckeyes have become one of my favrotie group of Buckeyes that I have ever watched play. Their will to win this November has been so impressive. And man do I love this quarterback. He is a winner!!! HANDS DOWN!

I always root for the Buckeyes...but more so than most years, this year I am rooting for THESE Buckeyes. I love this group of guys, and I'm really going to miss these Seniors once they are gone. Now let's go beat Michigan!!!

Our passing game is improving..Tp and the receivers both have room to grow..the great passing teams are a combination of both. TP has some trouble with touch on the short throws but the receivers need to concentrate on the ball and their routes. The great passers anticipate receivers coming open and throws the reciever open. TP will hold onto the ball too long some times, but he may not trust the receivers route running. I'm always for simplyfying things and have great execution. Hopefully, 1 more year will improve things for TP and the receivers.
