Ohio State notebook: Pryor will return for 2011 season
Thursday, November 11, 2010

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Nine games into his junior season, Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor said yesterday he has no plans to forego his senior season and head for the NFL.
"It would be hard being away from a lot of the guys I've been around, and I want to get my degree as well, so I could finish that up," Pryor said. "I want to have a legacy here, you know? Maybe someday get my jersey hung up. That's one of my goals as well here."
It hadn't been a subject of serious conjecture anyway, but the talk was out there.
"I just think I've got to develop my brain how I can control situations. I think a lot of people, whether you are here or at a different college, should develop your mind before you take off, because decisions outside of here, not just on the football field but decisions (away from the game) are important as well."

Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor on plans for his senior season: Video

What are Terrelle Pryor's plans for the future? Ohio State's quarterback talked about two potential paths Wednesday - one idea he was just throwing out there and the other he has no choice but to commit to for now.
On the second point, Pryor said what he's mentioned before, that his plan is to return for his senior season in 2011. He joins football players Beanie Wells, Antonio Pittman and Anthony Gonzalez, as well as basketball player Mike Conley Jr., among recent Buckeyes who had what sounded like firm plans for another year in Columbus. Those four players all left early.
They all say the same things because they can't say anything else. But Pryor has some specific ideas in his head about what a senior season at Ohio State in 2011 might entail.
"I'm a Buckeye until I break all the records," Pryor said on Wednesday, explaining his thinking first to reporters on a conference call and then again face-to-face with media at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
"I want to leave a legacy here, maybe someday get my jersey hung up. That's one of my goals as well here," Pryor said.

The frustration has faded, but Terrelle Pryor says he's a better QB because of his fumble against Penn State in 2008

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Playing young quarterbacks comes with a price. Ohio State's price for playing Terrelle Pryor in 2008 was the Penn State game.
"He did well as a freshman, other than really one play you'd like to have back," Ohio State quarterbacks coach Nick Siciliano said.

Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor was on a conference call for reporters Wednesday night. Here are the topics he discussed:
On tweeting about playing basketball: We into football season right now. No disrespect to you, but this is Penn State week. I'm sorry.
On this being Penn State week: Now I look at it is like it's just another game. That's really what it is. It's nothing bigger, nothing smaller.
Rate his season so far: I think I'm doing good. I think personally I'm playing pretty good, just taking care of the ball. But I think I need to, there's a couple picks I wish I could get back. But sometimes you throw the ball a lot, them things come. From here on out I've got to take care of the ball more.
Not running as much this year: We're gonna get to 1,000 this year.
You're going to reach 1,000: Yeah.
That's going to be tough to do: Yeah, but not really.
