I'm not big in the insight department, but I hadn't seen this mentioned yet, and I think it's one of the most important aspects of Terrelle Pryor and his impact on college football - his phenomenal development into a killer on third down.
When the Buckeyes were in 3rd-and-long, you never felt like we were "out of it." Terrelle turns 3rd-and-13 into something that feels more like 3rd-and-2. He has the ability to focus when the situation is dire, and frequently to come up with just enough yards to keep the drive moving. In that regard, he's almost Favre-like. Last night we were an astonishing 11 of 21 on 3rd down, and often we had lots of yards to cover.

TP is a warrior....I think he has earned the right to no longer take shit from our fanbase. Guy played with heart because you know he was hurting. I wonder if he will go this spring?

Pryor was good, no doubt, but Oregon lost because they only scored 17 points. For all Pryor's heroics, and I certainly don't want to diminish that in Pryor's own thread, OSU held the ball for over 40 minutes, ground out over 400 yards, but still only scored 26. Still too many stalls going into the red zone and too much settling for FGs.
Oregon lost because they had no answer for Cam, Worthington, Gibson, et al on the D-Line. Sure, Oregon broke a couple long runs to pad their stats and had a great night on kick returns, but OSU's D otherwise completely shut them down.
Pryor had a great game because the D kept giving him the ball back.
No, that article by Canzano is as dumb and shortsighted as all his others. Oregon just got mauled by a superior D, and he's still writing about offenses. Oregon didn't lose this game two years ago when they failed to sign Pryor, they lost this four years ago when they failed to sign replacements for guys like Haloti Ngata.

Yep, there's a reason tOSU wins 10 and 11 games in "rebuilding years". It's because they recruit kids like Gibson, Heyward, Worthington, Simon, Larimore, Spitler, Rolle, Homan, Sabino, etc, etc, etc...Dryden;1633168; said:
