QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

If we see a similar meltdown, would you be opposed to letting him play a series so that Pryor has an opportunity to cool down? Maybe the kid will thrive in the situation. Nobody knows until we actually see him play in a situation where the game is on the line.

Good question....I would say "yes"....give him a shot. But only if this happens again (i.e., the meltdown in the 3rd quarter)....frankly its up to the O-line as much as TP. However, I don't see Bauserman being able to make a whole lot of plays.....word from the practice sessions are that Terrelle is way ahead of JB and Kenny. If the O-line improves enough to gives TP enough time to set his feet when making the throw, I can see us smelling the roses....else it would be more like the Outback bowl for us.

TP is my man, but I hate that we didnt get Tajh Boyd. If we had him, would he be playing now?

Or better yet, if Antonio Henton stayed?

The answer is NO...Tajh would not be playing. Frankly I don't care much for Tajh....he cannot start at a place like Clemson. And as for Antonio Henton, again the answer is NO! Unfortunately, Antonio could not hold down the starting job at Georgia Southern, and in fact has transferred out of that program.

Well, let's remember that in 2001, Craig Krenzel was the 3rd QB going into the Illinois game. Steve got suspended and Scotty underperformed, and Craig came in and performed far better than anyone expected, and started against tsun the next week. We know how that turned out. I doubt anyone thought Krenzel would do well with our offense at that point, he wasn't even the backup, he was the backup to the backup of what many consider to be an average qb at most.

I thought you might bring that up....that was my thinking when I said "yes", but only if the "mental meltdown" happens again. As for now, TP is still the man IMO.

No, I agree with you, and it is a totally "what if" situation... I think Pryor will develop if he keeps working, and I'm against throwing him under the bus, but if a similar breakdown happens, let's see what we've got behind him, if only for a series or two.

I did not know that. Any idea where he transferred to?

I took this game like getting knifed in the stomach. I had the worst thoughts and intentions and the classical panic, "the Titanic" is sinking mentality.

Insert history quote, doomed to repeat it etc.

I think about how Vince Young play in early in his career especially during his Redshirt frosh year. He's the black Matt Jones was a common line for me and others. Carson Palmer I remember thinking was el busto superricfic until his senior year and even then I thought the Bengals were getting David Klinger 2.0.

Alot of my instakes wanted to join the trample on the corpse crowd this weekend. I really think what the Plain Dealer guy said about Pryor and potential said everything spot on.

He just had too many interceptions to hold down the starting post. I am glad that Tress is talking to him and I hope he pulls it together to get through college.

I think my thoughts about Pryor are about the same as DaytonBuck's.

I am very nervous because TS was progressing nicely in his second year at qb.

Which was his fourth year in the program.

Let's review who our QBs have been under JT.

2001 - Belisari 4th year player
2002 - Krenzel 4th year player
2003 - Krenzel 5th year player
2004a - Zwick 3rd year player
2004b - Smith 3rd year player
2005 - Smith 4th year player
2006 - Smith 5th year player
2007 - Boeckman 5th year player
2008a - Bocekman 6th year player
2008b - Pryor 1st year player
2009 - Pryor 2nd year player
