It's hard to say without taking non-numerical information into account. In my opinion, volume numbers aren't all that important - efficiency is where it's at. The Teboner has solid efficiency numbers (10.8 YPA passing, 5.24 YPA rushing, 0.05 int/completion ratio) whereas Terrelle's are comparable-to-slightly-worse (7.9 YPA passing, 4.54 YPA rushing, 0.04 int/completion ratio). You can make all kinds of arguments about the opportunities that Tebow might have had over Pryor (the 2006 Gators ran 875 plays for 5545 yards, whereas the 2008 Buckeyes ran 807 plays for 4455 yards - a disparity of almost 1 ypp), but ultimately it's moot: Tebow is a known quantity now whereas Pryor is still relatively unknown. Is Pryor going to progress greatly? We all expect him to, but you can't say with certainty.

In the end, I'd be happy with either. I think Pryor may have a higher ceiling, but Tebow seems to have the attitude and mental side of the game down pat. Hopefully Pryor will get there this season - he'll be dangerous if he does.

Schlichter being the last true frosh QB to start for tOSU may have been mentioned earlier in this thread, but at my age I can't remember.

I agree. I think King has a chance to be one of the best, if not the best, analysts of our generation.

I feel privileged to be able to watch both Tim Tebow and Terrelle Pryor play college quarterback. They are both terrific players.

To be able to see these two guys, and also LeBron James as a Cavalier - well, that's just too good for words.

As he matures I think we'll see a little less conservatism with the playcalling. He was a freshman with awful mechanics last year.

I disagree. What we saw as fans last year had more to do with what Pryor could actually handle and execute. Adding more plays, formations or whatever level of variety you like would not have made Pryor more effective and it certainly was not holding him back.

Tressel's schemes and play calling were effective enough to make Troy Smith legendary, at least at a Heisman level on the legendary meter. I think the staff will have an effective plan in place to make Pryor as successful as he is capable of provided he puts in the requisite effort and preperation.

I think Pryor will be very successful, in a legendary sense.

I thought that was stupid. They bust on TP, for being upset after a loss. Maybe they should get a player or 2 who gets upset after losing, theyd be a lot better off. Hell might even have a chance at 4 whole wins!

considering that Michigan players just lost more games in one season than Pryor will in his entire collegiate career I would imagine they are already more acclimated to losing than Pryor will ever be

I hadn't thought about it like that, but you're absolutely right. No way TP loses 9 games in his career. Wow!

Let them mock him. If this is what it takes to help them get through the day, then fine. We're the ones who really get the last laugh!
