MADISON, Wis. -- Get them now, people. I'm talking to you, Big Ten. And to you, college football powerhouses elsewhere. Get them now. Get the Ohio State Buckeyes now, this year, while Terrelle Pryor is still a kid.

Because when he becomes a man, it's over.
Maybe it's too late. Maybe he became a man Saturday night, when he led the No. 14 Buckeyes to a 20-17 victory at No. 18 Wisconsin. Maybe Pryor, a true freshman, emerged from his cocoon at Camp Randall Stadium, where he drove the Buckeyes 80 yards late in the fourth quarter, scoring the game-winning touchdown himself on an ice-cold 11-yard keeper with 68 seconds left.

Gregg Doyel is a major douche(he's the one who made fun of that Wisconsin basketball player who injured his elbow against us in '06) but I enjoyed that article.

Pryor and Beanie good enough to hide our major issues on offense but I hope we continue to address them. Our OL is getting better but it's still too inconsistent. Same with the receivers.

The Ohio State coaching staff has taken a lot of flak this year, and I suppose much of it is deserved.

But, let's keep one thing in mind. Without Pryor, this team probably has two losses and TSUN might just be undefeated.

A coaching staff that pulled in this player deserves a lot of respect.

The poise of this 18 year old kid is amazing for a QB , Here he goes into madison to play in that venue and wins.
He scares the crap out of me with the amount of time he holds the ball looking for a receiver to get open but he can also stay out of trouble a very long time with his scrambling too. Yes he will take sacks until he learns more and plays more but you can't keep a gamer like this down.
He has made a beleiver out of me.

MADISON, Wis. -- Terrelle Pryor sat in the postgame interview room last night, a scarlet stocking cap on his head, a black brace on his bruised but still functioning right hand, and a smile on his face.
Some of his Ohio State teammates had spoken of how they'd just watched their freshman quarterback come of age, directing the 12-play, 80-yard winning touchdown drive that beat Wisconsin 20-17, the drive capped by his deceptive, 11-yard option keeper around left end.
"I grew up," Pryor agreed. "But there's a lot of proving left to do."
He no doubt turned more heads his way with that drive, though, resurrecting what he admitted was a fairly mediocre game by his standards. He even made his teammates sit up and take notice.

Primetime premiere: Pryor steps forward in clutch

MADISON, Wis. -- The final series was not the end, but the beginning, for Terrelle Pryor.
Ohio State beat Wisconsin Saturday night, 20-17, as Pryor cut straight into tomorrow on the 11-yard option run that won it in the last 1 minute, 8 seconds. On it, he faked a pitch to Beanie Wells, who had already scored on a trampling, stiff-arming first quarter run of 33 yards.
With Wells running out of yesteryear, before the mysterious foot injury, before the derailment of his Heisman campaign, and with Pryor doubling the jeopardy with his size, quickness, and instincts, the Badgers had no sound defensive choice.
"[Wells] is a big body, he's elusive, and a couple of times we were just barely holding onto him," said Badgers coach Bret Bielema. "They went to the quarterback option on second-and-long (8 yards) and obviously there was nobody in position to tackle the quarterback."

I have held back on making any comments on this kid until I had seen enough of him to make an informed comment. THIS KID IS THE TRUE. I have never seen a kid with that much swagger as the young hip hop generation say, but not be a cocky primadonna. The upside for this kid is unbeliavable to say the least. More reps is only going to make this young man a danger to all of college football. Hopefully he has the work ethic and desire to advance his skill set. The holding of the ball for so long will come with time and again more reps and a better understanding of the offense and its philosophy. To sum up my opinion of young MR. Pryor he has it and alot more!!!!!!

I was very proud of the way TP. Of course I was holding my breath on the last drive, but everytime TP and the team needed to get a first down, and move down the field, TP did. Wow, what a game! Good Job Mr. Pryor!

I was frustrated that he was eating so many sacks, but a lot of that is on the o-line for not picking up the blitz better. He's got to learn to throw the ball away if there's nothing there; that's a skill a lot of guys seem to take a while to learn. He really only made one poor choice throwing the ball all night (well, two if you count not hitting a wide open Posey) and that was the throw to Saine that got picked off. Otherwise, he looked great. He'd look even better if his wide receivers would stop dropping passes, but that's neither here nor there.

He's legit, but he's got to continue growing and improving. When you're a true freshmen in his third start in a hostile venue at night who makes a clutch game winning play (by the way, anybody else absolutely blown away by his fake pitch to Beanie and then covering 12 yards in about 3 steps on his way to the end zone? Lights. Fucking. Out.), it's not a bad way to start.

My favorite thing about last night was when the sideline reporter, Holly Rowe, reported that Terrelle was appearing to be a freshmen after all. He was off by himself, not really in the face of his offense, unable to lead the team. Then she went on to say that Everidge, was in the face of his offense, ready to lead them to a win.
Needless to say, the next series, Pryor lead the Buckeyes to a winning drive while Everidge sealed the deal by throwing that interception. Gotta love it!!:biggrin:

Man is he good. Just to think, that this is only a true Frosh and has at least 2 more years after this one is just WOW. The mistakes he has made this year, he will learn from. Example, the 18 or so yard sack last night where he kept running backwards, he'll learn to just go down. Or Posey WIDE open over the middle. He'll learn, and when he does he'll be even better, and that's crazy because he's already better than a lot of QB's. And he may have started his heisman campaign

The media around here,hates Ohio State,& hate to mention them. I have a newspaper article still,it says how this guy would rather watch infomercials than Ohio State/scUM game! It was a whole column. So I emailed him what I thought of him & never heard from him.
The newspapers around here were like titled Miami loses National title,Ohio State wins by a call,etc!
Since Terrelle is in they are a little more into Ohio State.
The CBS station KDKA will put the top 25 up on the screen that they like but you never see us on there! You'll see maybe #1,#3,#2 #4,& when we were #5 it skipped to #6 of course!
We are getting a little more respect but not what we deserve,so I deal with it.
I don't get as much $hit for wearing my Ohio State clothes around here as I had.
Yes,Terrelle is a phenom around here now & will only get better!
