wow was he really exposed? I mean gosh he has a big ole 3 on the other side of that win ratio as a starting QB, along with that being losses against top competition.

Pryor needed to be the starter to propell him down the road, but no one can say they have a better backup than Ohio State!

Well nobody in the college ranks, lets not forget the best player in the NFL is always the Cleveland Browns backup QB.

Bradford had 36 touchdowns last year passing as a freshman. There is a reason that's a rookie record. While, I don't doubt Pryor at all,those stats don't lie. You might not be able to measure talent with a stick,but that's some pretty nasty competition when you throw the names Chase Daniels and Sam Bradford out there. Those guys are the real deal as well. It takes a lot of talent to be able to read defenses that well,and execute. They might not use their feet as much as TP,but they make it up for with vision of the game......Right now

Haha yeah. Ive seen him a number of times. The players i keep seeing are TP2(the 2 is his number, kinda like chris paul of the hornets(CP3)), Nic Dilillo, Keith Wells, and Willie Mobely. Its kinda weird. I'll keep you updated on the TP happenings around campus lol.

1. Totally different offense and personnel situation
2. Bradford had 43 total TDs in 14 games as starter (3.07 TDs per game), while Pryor has 7 total TDs in 2 games as starter (3.5 TDs)
3. Bradford was a redshirt freshman, Pryor is a true freshman

So, I think Pryor comapres pretty good up to this point. Oh, by the way, Bradford was one of the two Big 12 QBs I mentioned I would take ahead of Pryor in an important game, so I fail to see your point.

1. Doesn't matter. The article said he would be the 7th "best" quarterback in the big 12. Nothing more nothing less. Didn't get in particular details about scrambling v passing ability/leadership..Just said best

2. You can't honestly make a comparison like that in two games,but since you did. Sam Bradford broke two school records in his first two games. He threw for 363 yards in one half in his first career start (oklahoma half record). The following week he completed 22 straight passes(another school record) and threw for 5 touchdowns.

Pryor stacks up good. I would say he is the most athletic qb I have seen in a long time. BTW,you specifically did say they were better,but then lumped them all together with "Tell me that all other QBs mentioned, including Daniel and Bradford, would cause an opposing DC to totally redesign his scheme for that QB like he would have to for Pryor." Fine,but at the same time you won't see defenses looking for SB to run when he is bombing 70 yard td's with accuracy.

A pass or two? His mobility definitely makes him more of a threat then any of those big 12 qb's will,but if you look right in ncaa completion percentage,the big 12 has the 4 of the top 5. I wouldn't call it a wash just yet.

Reesing, McCoy and Harrell can make a number of throws that Terrelle will not make with consistency at this point, and the first two move very well in their own right.

Don't you think that it is important to recognize that these accomplishments were against:

  • North Texas (2-10, ranked #95 pass defense in FBS, 257 yds/gm),
  • Miami (5-7, #35, 212 yds/gm), and
  • Utah State (2-10, #90, 254 yds/gm)?
Pryor's performance in two starts:

  • Troy (2-2, ranked #17 pass defense in FBS, 160 yds/gm),
  • Minnesota (5-7, #81, 223 yds/gm)
So, Bradford's performance was against teams with a combined 9-27 record (25% winning percentage), an average pass defense ranking of 73, and an average of 241 yds/game in the air against these teams, notwithstanding the low level of competition played by North Texas and Utah State.

Pryor's performance was against teams with a combined 7-9 record (43% winning percentage, an average pass defense rank of 49, and an average of 192 yds/game in the air.

When you consider this and the fact that Bradford did not gain anything of note on the ground, wouldn't you agree that Pryor's performance compares very favorably?

Minnesota is not going to win games based on their defense.

Did troy's pass D really look like a top notch unit, or is that number probably a little inflated?



TP is a phenomenal prospect and the sky is the limit at qb. But he has to humble better teams before he is on par with the incredible qbs in the b12. Being behind those 5-6 guys is not an indictment of pryor, but rather a statement to how much qb talent there is in that conference, and why otherwise average teams like kansas are tough squads.

Agree. I think people need to cool the comparisons for right now.

Daniels and especially Bradford are terrific QBs. I'm most impressed with Bradford because he plays for a historically big time school and is on pace to throw for 3800yds and 46 TDs.

Pryor has a long way to go to be this good in the passing game.

But after watching gameday, I really hope Pryor absolutely lights it up tonight and shows the nation how good he is.

So i thought maybe we could make some predictions as to the numbers Pryor puts up tonight.

Passing: 180yds 2TDs 1 INT

Rushing: 15 carries 86yds 1 TD

I'd love to see him blow up and throw up crazy numbers, but I think if he can do this and get a win I'd be quite happy. It's tough as a frosh on his first night/road game starting.
