Pryor played more and did more than I expected him to tonight. I really did not think he would run that welll against that good of a defense and although most were easy passes, he was 6 of 7 or something like that.

I really think this kid could be as good as VY ended up being.

Aim higher. TP wants to be coached. He wants to learn the game.

Aim higher?

Vince Young, IMO, is one of the top 25 college players ever. If Pryor can even come close to what he's done, I will be estatic. If he supasses that...Pryor would be considered one of the top players to ever play the game. I'm not sure you can put those kind of expectations on an 19 year old kid. Let's just wait and see how he progresses. Right now it's looking very good though.

OSU doesn't have the talent USC has. People in the game thread were surprised Ohio State didn't win in the trenches, which was odd to me from what I know.

Regardless, what was not odd to me is that TP has a chance at being something very special (think on the lines of a possible Vince Young) for OSU. The kid impressed me in the first few games from what I saw, and the kid impressed me against USC. TP has a very bright future.

Not looking forward to playing USC a year from now.. we'll be young and mostly inexperienced at some key positions.

Hopefully it's the start of something special and us OSU fans are smiling at this time next year.

Watched the 1st half. No question he should be the starter from here on out. The rest of the team has given up on Boeckman, whether they'll admit it publicly or not. There is nothing to lose. We're already eliminated from NC contention. Pryor would have a couple of tune-ups before facing any tough teams in Big-10 play.

I sorta agree. I've been saying for some time that ever since the Michigan State game last year, Tressel has lost confidence in Todd B and yet I don't know if he wants to put Pryor under that much pressure yet.

Itwill be interesting. I thought he got better as the USC game went along, got more comfortable...

It reminded me of when Troy was trying to take over the team from Zwick -- you could tell the players were fired up with Pryor in the game, not Todd. Pryor has won the players over.

JT, if you are a man of principle, you will overcome your tendency to be overly loyal to your seniors and play the best players. It's a tough game, it's not Y ball.

Back to Pryor--- I really liked his ability to run and then suddenly ---ZIP---(insert Lee Corso sound effect here) a pass to a receiver running out in front of him. That's the kind of point guard play that Todd Boeckman jsut isn't built to make.

Go Bucks!:wink2:

The more I see of Pryor the more I like him. Even when he's not out on the field he's involved, talking to Tress, talking to the O-line, talking to the RBs, he wants to be involved and do anything he can to learn the game and help us win (a bit telling that when Boeckman comes off the field he takes a seat on the bench and watches impassively). I think Pryor brings the same sort of competitiveness that Troy brought, and a desire to learn that Troy didn't really develop until his sophmore-junior offseason.

This was a tough game, but Pryor proved he can do his thing against the best in CFB which can only help his confidence. I hope to see him get big playing time and full offensive series as the season progresses.
