QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

Basically it's easy to say things that can't be proven.

Miller is very pro OSU but the simple fact he wants to take visits says there is still a chance he ends up at another school.
That may be true, but there are people out there who have earned some trust and HotMic is one of them.

As far as wanting to take visits, why wouldn't he? He's the top QB in this class according to most people. Why wouldn't he look at his options? We may never see another kid like Brewster, he was a special kid. Also, it's very early in the process, there's plenty of time to go. I can't fathom why people start worrying about things 11 months before signing day. It's a waste of energy.

Have there been any reports (i.e., in interviews with recruits) that Miller has been recruiting them to OSU? There were certainly those reports with Powell and Brewster before they had committed, but I don't recall reading the same about Miller-- yet, anyway.

I'll stick with my original post. Just because there isnt a story you can read, doesn't mean there isn't anything going on. I'll leave it at that.

Now back to Braxton....

OSU is in as good of position as they can get with Braxton. He is not Hicks looking for reasons not to go to OSU. He is overwhelmed by the whole process and is being encouraged to go thru the process. He views himself more as Smith than Pryor. His top priority will be to go to a school that develops him as a passer.

Takes Florida out of the equation then, right?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

A year from now, ask Trey when Braxton started working on him. The date won't be after his verbal

But is he working on other kids with whom he is not childhood friends? I, obviously, don't know the answer, but it would go a long way towards addressing the extent to which Miller may be recruiting for the Buckeyes a la Brewster and Powell.

Scout $ - Breaking Down Braxton Miller
Dave Berk of SuperPrep.com, Mar 5, 2010

Comfortable in the gun or under center, Miller has great footwork & setup... More experience in the gun & a danger to run regardless... His arm is what makes him special... He's learning to use touch but he can heave it a mile & zip it into tight spaces...

Having seen Miller in a few games, I still hadn't watched his highlights. His progression as a QB is coming around. However, he still needs to step into his throws more...but on the other hand, it is amazing how much zip he gets on the ball without doing so. I hate to make the obvious comparison, but he does remind me of Troy. Even though the state is loaded this year, Braxton is hands down the top player.
