QB Quinn Ewers (transfer to Texas)

My two cents it’s not Ewers fault OSU coaching staff is at fault. Not blaming anyone but as the years move on that won’t happen again.
That's fair, we were idiotic for that move. We recovered well but the staff blew that move. But I'll shut up about it, I just want to beat Tejas and leave Ewers with the feeling like maybeeee staying at Ohio State was the right call. We shall see.

Or maybe no one is at fault. If it as @jakenick06 says the NIL was from a TX based company, maybe Day figured it was worth getting him up here on someone else's NIL dime (or a WHOLE lot of dimes) and see if they could convince him to stay after a year. All they were out was 1 scholarship for a year. That seems to me a gamble worth taking.

Saying yes to the money, hell yes I'd do it. Just not under false pretenses.

Seems like this kid is on some SSRI or something. Really no fire and no concern. Timid, lifeless and afraid to go big.

Great on 10-15 yard throws. Tons of zip that make you see the potential but I haven’t seen anything special all year. Now that he’s out of the way, I hope he figures things out.
Definitely has never looked like a #1 overall recruit. Solid QB, not special.

Allar sucked yesterday and couldn't tell a difference between Ewers and Allar other than that drive where he had that shovel pass on 3rd down. that was his only good play of the day.

Wonder what the TX fans think of him smiling at Sawyer after he just lost the game. that's fine for after the game, but right afterwards? Pathetic.

Quinn Ewers NFL Draft stock after QB makes clear he plans to go pro

The Longhorns slinger has divided NFL scouts and draft folks. Who's willing to take a risk on a high-level talent?

Where will Quinn Ewers be drafted?
Ewers does not possess the arm talent to be anything more than a low-end starter. Ideally, he can find a landing spot in the NFL where he can be an above-average backup for a team with an established star ahead of him.

That sort of player should not hear his name called before Round 3. Quarterbacks do tend to rise in the draft, though, which means Ewers could find a way to sneak into the bottom half of the second round if a team believes they can help eliminate mistakes from his game.

Ewers is a quality prospect but he does not have enough special tools to be considered an elite prospect. He's a reasonable roll of the dice in the third or fourth round for a team looking for a young backup but that should represent his ceiling as a draft prospect.

Really makes you question HS rankings at every level. When the highest rated recruit ever is getting ready to go to the NFL, and the highest he could get drafted is the 4th round. While the top 2 QBs are the son of an NFL HOFer with a decent low 4star rating and the other a 0star QB who needed 3 stops to get to his NFL position.
