Now, I disagree with those fans, but Herbstreit is doing this not out of any sincerity or attempt to be a real sports journalist. Rather, it's part of his whole unhinged need to attack Ohio State in any way because he thinks it makes him come off as a non-homer.

While it's unclear if this was a decision from ESPN or Herbstreit himself, who caught a ton of flack last season for his stance on Florida State not being a top team without quarterback Jordan Travis, his presence will be missed.
