QB Kirk ‘Nightmare On’ Herbstreit (Frosted Quips, False Narratives Clown, Afraid of THE Lunatic Fringe)

He is an absolute MBA case study for how not to manage a personal brand. If someone is advising him, he needs to fire them.

His impaired relations with Ohio State are not about a lunatic fringe, in my opinion. I believe it's about Herbstreit, his miscalculations, hurtful and inaccurate accusations, and apparent failure to apologize and admit his errors, and a fan base that had enough of his behavior.

I especially don't appreciate the "poor Kirk theatre" appeals for sympathy. We've all had close relationships with animals that died. We didn't buy a replacement and take it to work choking back tears. I have sympathy for cancer patients. I am a cancer survivor. I have relatives dying from cancer right now. I also don't forget that his wife is an Ohio State alum too. Still, this is not about him. It's about them.

Kirk Herbstreit should not be anywhere near the Ohio State football team, athletic facility, or athletes until he apologizes and makes things right. Even then, that process should not give him the access that he tried to bully his way into in the first place.

Maybe he needs to hire MoC to advise him how to turn things around...

Imagine that Ryan Day went out of his way to give a special thank you to MoC during the Championship Celebration in the Shoe. MoC was the only person that he thanked (other than his family) who is not a player, or a coach. Really impressive what MoC has been able to achieve, especially given the "dark" place where he was maybe 15 years ago and the degree to which the university was not happy (at the time) to be associated with him.
