Herbie thinks the Pac-12 flexed its muscles this bowl season? Let's take a look at the facts:

Wins:

#22 Utah beat unranked and non-power 5 BYU
Washington State beat Miami
Washington beat non-power 5 Southern Miss
Cal beat non-power 5 Air Force
Stanford beat Iowa
Arizona beat non-power 5 New Mexico

Losses:

5-7 Nebraska beat UCLA
Unranked Wisconsin beat #25 USC
TCU (sans its starting QB) beat Oregon
WVU beat Arizona State

I see a conference that went 6-4, with 4 of those wins being against non-power 5 teams, and 3 of those 4 losses are pretty embarrassing. Talk about "flexing muscles." Someone really needs to tell Herbie to get off Twitter--he's pulling back the curtain on his own bias and lack of intellect.

With age comes wisdom. I think that a lot of you forget that Kirk Herbstreit was one of the most successful Buckeye quarterbacks ever. Leading the team to wonderful victories over TSUN and coming very close to winning several national championships. He's been a leader on the field. An expert in the commentator's box. And a solid supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes through thick and thin.

To say these things, however, does not begin to capture his many contributions to the game and Ohio State fans. His most important contributions to the Buckeye Nation never get the attention that is deserved.

Tomorrow morning, before you do anything else, consult Herbstreit's twitter account. It is always full of useful insights and candid opinions that you just can't get anywhere else. I find that, since I started reading his pearls of wisdom, I no longer suffer from impacted faecal matter. His example of venting complete crap educates my digestive system every day, helping me avoid not only the unpleasantness of constipation but also the embarrassment of overflow diarrhoea and possible colon cancer.

Say what you like, but if you see Kirk Herbstreit's pronouncements in the proper light, you'll lead a healthier, happier light. It's not sports, it's medicine!
