QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

Great game by Joe. Whole LSU team played well, and put down a spunky UT team. Gotta feel like Bama will go down at least once. OK, more like hoping so. Loved the grit in him, and the 1 minute drill for an answering TD was marvelous. He shredded UT like grated cheese. So glad to see him have a great start to his senior year. His passing has markedly improved from when he trod the turf in the Shoe. Great game, and was nice to hear Herbie singing his praises. Centerville isn't too close to Athens, but Ahia QBs always are. Geaux Joe, unless he faces the Buckeyes.

I wasn't all that impressed with LSU's defense, especially their pass defense. At times (like most of the game) Ehinger was schredding it. They gave up 409 yards passing and 121 yards rushing, etc.

UT's DB's got shredded that entire game. Joe Burrow looks very comfortable in that offense. And as far as LSU DB's..... Sam E. put some balls into some tight windows into decent coverage. That's the type of up and down game I anticipated after they got through the 1st quarter. LSU was just the better team. But I don't see any competition for UT besides OU in the Big 12 so I think we're going to see both those teams end up in the top10 at season's end barring a Bowl Game loss. (LSU may be able to afford a Bowl Game loss and still finish higher when u factor in the SEC voting scale bias).

Burrow projected as a first-round NFL Draft pick

On Monday, Burrow’s Heisman Trophy odds skyrocketed, going from 200-1 odds this offseason all the way up to 5-1 odds to win the award. Now, he’s projected by CBS Sports as not only an NFL draft selection - but a first-rounder.

CBSSports analyst Chris Trapasso updated his weekly NFL Draft Big Board this week, and Burrow went from off the radar to the third quarterback off the board.

Rewatched the LSU v UT game.....relative to the shredding of the DBs on both teams. Please correct me if I err, but I didn't really see any WRs 'open', ala the way the Buckeye WRs were against FAU. It appears to me that most every ball was contested. Could be wrong, but thought it was a tremendous passing display by both QBs. Joe and Sam put the balls where the DBs couldn't get to them really, outside shoulder, low and away, etc. Not sure Joe could have outplayed Dwayne last year, and without the year to 'develop' under fire, GoBux might have hit it on the head, and Justin certainly wouldn't have come to sit on the pine. Amazing how things work out. Bottom line, tOSU is pretty well off with how it transpired. Go Bucks!

They weren't FAU open but I wouldn't call it contested either there were a lot of receivers open by 1 to 3 yards. Still both QB's were much better than last year where they would have still missed some of those throws.

Exactly, and I think it really worked out for both parties tbh. Really happy to see Joe do well, he handled his exit with class and poise after he fought for his spot (unlike Martell). Hope he has a killer year and beats Bama.

Doesn’t this belong in the Jackasses that don’t work for ESPN thread? I actually enjoy Cowherd because he entertains me and I understand he’s no expert. But considering how often Burrow’s transfer has been discussed, it’s hard to fathom Cowherd not knowing that. Poor effort Colin.

A world class idiot, if there even is such a thing. Love it when they're exposed for the true fools they are.

A side note.........if both tOSU and LSU continue on the same upward path they're now on, we'll see them in the playoffs. :urban2: :day: :oh:
