QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

Arm strength allows you to hold the ball a split second longer. For Jt it's more about timing and release..as he gets more experience he will trust his arm and receivers and throw them open. Right now he holds it to long waiting to see them open. The receivers need to run their routes precisely not lazily to help Jt out.

Just sayin': Lately not so good, maybe a D (or worse). Texas A&M is in a bit of a state of panic this season after losing three straight games in SEC West play. After starting the year with five straight wins, with quarterback Kenny Hill throwing 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions, the Aggies have lost to Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Alabama by a combined score of 142-51. Hill was intercepted six times in those games, and now it may be costing him his job as the team’s starting quarterback. On Tuesday, Texas A&M offensive coordinator Jake Spavital confirmed the quarterback competition has been reopened as the Aggies look to turn things around.

Just got worse for Hill:

The Thrill is gone for two games; Texas A&M suspends Hill

So much for a quarterback competition at Texas A&M. After initially naming Kyle Allen its starting quarterback for today’s game against Louisiana-Monroe, Texas A&M has now stated quarterback Kenny Hill has been suspended for two games due to a violation of team rules.

About the arm strength thing. Not an issue.
It's still quite apparent that his arm strength isn't like his predecessor but if he makes reads quickly it is not an issue. Not every QB has a rifle, so they all handle it differently. All things being equal, you'd obviously like to see some hybrid of Miller and Barrett, but since that isn't the case, JT is just fine as is.

I will gladly take accuracy over 10 more yards.

Great profile

At a family reunion in Beaumont, Texas, last summer, J.T. Barrett was excited to tell anyone who would listen about his upcoming second season in the Ohio Statefootball program. He was coach Urban Meyer’s first recruit at the position. He had learned from the habits of talented veterans while taking a redshirt the previous fall. He worked hard all offseason, and he planned to continue doing so during preseason camp. And that, Barrett told his family, might get him right where he wanted to be.

As the second-string quarterback.

So he could hold field goal attempts. (cont...)

J Mo-Fo T will show up today and be the difference. OSU pulls off the upset today with a strong running game.
