I caught one of Bellasari's passes... I was in north Akron and this ball came flying into the neighborhood from the south
Nah, that had to be a Bauserman Ball.
Boeckman? You know, as much as we rip on Bauserman he has the second highest career completion % in OSU history.
His 2007 season was the 3rd highest comp % season in OSU history.
remarkable
Like a Baus.Boeckman?
Edit: Just looked it up and saw he WAS on that 2007 team...Jesus he was there forever.
I've been guilty of being overly critical at times as well as I too have seen some questionable or late decisions that might cost us against legit teams. Generally,JT has been awesome. I think the reason I worry is that I know that, with the young team we have, JT will need to be spectacular if we are to win it all. So in my mind, he has to carry the load and will have to be more than great if we are to win a National Championship. It's an unfair ask, but I ask anyway.so my timing is atrocious as barrett, from the second quarter on, flat out tore it up. that 2 min drill almost has to grade out as perfect by the coaches.
with that said, the uncharacteristic mistakes he has made this season. ive noticed a lot of late throws and passes behind receivers. his int today for example, that looked to me to be a late pass that was a little behind. if that pass is thrown on time the db has literally 0 chance even if it is a little behind the receiver. but because the pass was late the angle of the route lead the db back into the play even though he was horribly beaten. im not holding his last pass against him other than not seeing the lb. it counts as a bad decision, but im not lumping that in with the things i have noted this season.
anyone else notice this? i wouldn't consider myself concerned, more of something i find interesting. my initial thought is he is either trying to be too perfect or doesn't entirely trust his receivers just yet. if it were any other qb i probably wouldn't even mention it. but with jt... he's a solid athlete but not incredible, has really good toughness but isn't a fb in a qb's body, has a really good arm but it isn't a canon.
what he does so much better than just about anyone i have ever seen at any position is that his vision is amazing. but his ability to read and react is even better. if its there he takes it, right now. so some of the missteps i have seen through the first three games have surprised me a little. am i making too much of things or is there something noticeable there?
he says about the a guy who is almost certainly in the top 3 best qb's in tOSU history and imo is odds on to be the best ever by the time he is done.
