Matt, I agree. Way too many balls hitting people in numbers and hands and then being dropped. However, I think he was rattled big time, as was the rest of the offense and coaches.

He was not rattled at all The entire game he was taking on blitzes right up the gut are interior line was getting put on skates he had barely a second to make his reads and deliver but even in that set up he had 270 and 3 tds and I’m not counting that interception that was right in the hands of berry .... with Barrett we lose that game the lack of passing would have been are downfall .... we blamed Haskins for the failed 4 and 1 attempt no quarterback or running back would have made that play ... because once again up the middle is getting destroyed and we let a defensive end fly right down the line untouched
Some of you guys must not have watched the same game as me. I love me some Haskins.. but he was shook. He has made unbelievably accurate spot and touch throws all year, last night he was missing and missing badly. I am not saying he is bad or wrong or wont recover and be the best tOSU has ever seen.. but last night he was shook.
I don’t understand why Barrett has a reputation for not making mistakes. He threw interceptions on his own 20 against Oklahoma and Iowa last year that were the nail in the coffin in both games. It was a very JT-like performance. Couldn't hit anything more than 10 yards down field but avoided making a big mistake
With JT we also probably run for 250-300 yards. I too think DH was rattled because his passes across the middle were really off but yes he wasnt helped by his WRs and definately his OL.He was not rattled at all The entire game he was taking on blitzes right up the gut are interior line was getting put on skates he had barely a second to make his reads and deliver but even in that set up he had 270 and 3 tds and I’m not counting that interception that was right in the hands of berry .... with Barrett we lose that game the lack of passing would have been are downfall .... we blamed Haskins for the failed 4 and 1 attempt no quarterback or running back would have made that play ... because once again up the middle is getting destroyed and we let a defensive end fly right down the line untouched

Also first game on natural turf. Field was especially slick due to week of rain and no tarp.He was just off today...those on the money throws of the first 4 games just weren't there tonight. Pressure and environment I'm sure played a part, but the accuracy just wasn't there tonight. Here's hoping next week is a nice rebound game for him.
Watched that play several times. I strongly believe a T QB makes it because the line surge was there. Because he began five yards back PSU had time to shoot the gaps. This has happened against Michigan, USC, ND, WISCONSIN, and MSU. Its a real drawback to the spread.
