I don't because my doctor told me they're the worst thing you can do for your ears b/c it jams the wax back in the ear towards the ear drum.

I use Q-tips, and have been told by *my* doctor that my ears are in excellent shape. I don't have a buildup of earwax 
to 'jam' into my eardrum, as I clean them often - every time I get out of the shower.
Also, don't skimp on the cheap plastic swabs - they've gotta be Q-tips.

I do, but I've been out for awhile so I've been rolling toilet paper and attempting to imitate q-tips...not working well

Hell yes. Use them every morning when you get out of the shower and you won't have any ear wax to jam through your eardrum.
And I agree with whoever above ... you've absolutely got to buy the brand name stuff, Q-Tip. The generic ones aren't worth the $1.00 you save per 500.

Nope. Q-tips are not good for your ears. The wax is there for a purpose, and using a Q-tip will just cause more wax and other ear problems. If you never use them, and jsut clean the outside of your ear that u can get with a washcloth, you won't have a wax buildup problem at all.
