Geez...lots of hopefulness in this thread. I've seen nothing from Purdue at all this year, execution-wise or guts-wise, to indicate they can win a road game of these magnitudes. I agree anything can happen theoretically and all that, but....

Is there something about having 11 starters back on defense, and being ranked 117th in defense that bothers you?

Plenty, which is why I said "guts-wise" as well as execution-wise. These guys are either horribly untalented (which they aren't) or dogging it, or something. Maybe it's just because their offense doesn't pile up points anymore, so they are on the field all game without the leads they're used to. Whatever it is, they suck...and I haven't seen anything to indicate they are a powder keg waiting to explode.

I've always thought that the notion that an easy schedule is missing Ohio State and Michigan was a joke. There are no easy road games in the Big Ten and no easy home games if you don't play with confidence. All of Purdue's remaining games are big for them after they've been humbled by all those "inferior" teams. If they don't beat Wisky or PSU, I personally would be a little shocked at how much Tiller could let their psyche be shot by failed wild-eyed expectations.
