You repeat yourself so that you can say the same thing twice. It's very common in people who say things twice to repeat themselves.

I know all too well you can't pass up clicking on a fake link. You click on fake links all the time. Did I say that twice? I mean the same idea, in both sentences? I think I did it again. I did, didn't I? Dammit! Frustrating.
