Does anyone watch this show? I never thought I'd watch Spike TV, but a friend told me about it and although somewhat corny, interesting. They set up events for professional athletes to go against "normal" men. For instance, you'll run a 40 meter against Justin Gatlin in a 60 meter... or you try to tackle Herschel Walker... or try to get a hit off of John Rocker... play one-on-one with 'Nique Wilkins. I think it's a cool set-up. Anyone else check it out yet?

Yeah, I've watched it. I will watch it when it's on, but I dont look for it. MOst of the Joes are muscle bound weight lifters with very little athletic ability. They dont have much "skill"--throwing, catching, swinging golf clubs, shooting basketball, etc. They usually max out their times.

I did see Bill Romanowski puss out vs some great big son-of-a-bitch in a FB drill.

The rebound drill with Rodman was all I needed to see. A bunch of marginal, never-was "athletes" pretending to puff up their chests and validate their marginal, never-was lives. Fortunately for them, the "winner" is determined by seeing who got their ass kicked the least by the team of pros, so somebody always goes home happy/less depressed.

I haven't seen the episode with Romo-Stero. What happened? I did see a preview of some dude that charged the mound and got into a fight with Rocker.

The drill is set for the Joe to catch a 5 yd in route while Romo is trying to knock the ball out with a big hit. He starts at 10 yds and the contact happens at 5 yds. He kills the smaller guys and they usually dont make a catch. He had to face an ex-college TE who was 6-4 288. He whiffed on him twice and barely made an attempt. Pussy.

Kevin Greene still looks good. He kills those guys.

I watched one the other day and one of the Joe's was a wrestler from my brother's college and my brother knew him. That's the only one I've watched all the way through. Usually I'll catch it going around the dial and stop until the commercial, then I won't make it back.

The host is annoying as hell.

The fight was one of the competitions. The "Joe" had to charge the mound and had one minute to get Rocker off of the mound. Just your old-fashioned redneck sumo-match.

If I happen to stop on it when flipping though the channels, I might watch, but I certainly wouldn't rearrange my schedule for it.

I'd like to go up against Ron Jeremy to see who could film a better sex scene with Jenna Jameson. I really don't care if I win....

You really need to clarify in this that you get to go BEFORE RJ, I wouldn't follow his fat ass even if it was Jenna.

On topic, I have watched a couple of episodes. I liked it, but I am really bad about knowing when shows are on and watching them.

Completely agree.

For all of you who are bad about shows, TiVo rocks.

I did actually see the Romo episode. The thing that makes this fun is that the pros are washed up in most cases, so some of the Joes embarrass them. For instance, Herschel Walker got tackled 3 of 9 times by a couple of nobody-jokes of football players. One dude weighed about 175 pounds, took Walker down twice of three attempts.
