Problems with Google Chrome

I'm getting freezeups on the BuckeyePlanet web site and other commercial web sites today - looks like ad sites are not loading and thereby freezing up the main screen. Non-commercial (i.e., work-related) sites don't seem to have the same issues. I'm using Safari right now, with none of these problems. Ideas?

I use chrome and havent noticed anything. Chrome has been the best/fastest/reliable browser I've ever used.

I replaced Safari with Chrome awhile back and it has clearly been an upgrade for me on my Macbook. Unfortunately, it doesn't run as smoothly at work on my PC, but then again IE doesn't either.

There are actually quite a few threads on the google support forums regarding this. I had it happen on my IBM thinkpad and it was the first time it had ever happened. I uninstalled, reinstalled, still freezing, even on google and gmail I had the issue.

Eventually, I upgraded my laptop to a macbook pro and the problem went away.

Not that there's any help in this message, just saying I know where your coming from.
