...does anyone know how to get electrical tape gunk off stuff? I was dumb enough to wrap the handle of my axe with it, and once I realized that that was a foolish thing to have done, it was too late. I've tried scalding hot water, sand paper, etc. - they all seem to do nothing but spread it around. Do I need a solvent, or what? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

goo be gone, the stuff is money

I agree Dayton. There is one that is even a little better, I've only been able to buy it once. I think it's called gunk off or something like that. But, Goo gone works ok too.
