Anyone want to join me this year? It's a hell of a lot of fun...

Does your bicycle have a side car for me to ride in.

Team GLADIATORS, huh? Not "The Knuckleheads"?
Let me tell you a little bit about the Gladiators... they're a team after my own heart... Self described as "the hardest riding, hardest drinking group ever to do a charity ride." Fun group... working for a cause they believe in, all with personal reasons for being here... many of whom have lost loved ones to cancer, but all determined to celebrate life along the way.

Last year, Day 3 was by far the worst day... (shortest, so I expected it to be easy, but it was straight west, slightly uphill all day, and into a headwind through a corn field. Ugh.) By the end of the day, I was totally grouchy and counting down miles. When I pulled into the parking lot, there were the Gladiators... showered and changed, with a friend who had brought a pickup truck with a giant cooler full of beer. Best beer I've ever tasted.

There is no other team.

Anyway... we just got back from the kickoff dinner, and, predictably, the Gladiators are all a bit buzzed. Gonna go turn in and try to get a little sleep, since breakfast is at some ungodly time like 5:45 tomorrow.

Thanks to all who have offered to drive me and drink along the way... (Sir Katt and Ms. Buttocks...) But I think I need to ride.

Cheers, everyone. Please do an anti-rain dance for the next four days if you're in Ohio.

(And... if you'd be interested in donating to the American Cancer Society, please PM me, and I'll send you the link...)
