Premier League (Official Thread)

Swansea are teaching West Brom a harsh first half lesson. 3-0 now after Wayne Routledge bags his 2nd of the game. Pablo Hernandez set Ben Davies free down the left side, who in turn sent in a low cross that found Routledge unmarked for the side footed finish.

Side note: Routledge would score two goals the gameweek I drop him from my squad. Six games without a goal or assist & fourth place West Brom would be the game he explodes. [censored] him.

Romelu Lukaku brings one back for West Brom literally with the last kick off the first half. Off a corner no less. Maybe a light for them after all.

1st half scores from the 2:45 games (Home team listed first):

Chelsea 0-0 Fulham
Everton 1-1 Arsenal
Southampton 1-1 Norwich
Stoke 0-0 Newcastle
Swansea 3-1 West Brom
Spurs 2-0 Liverpool

Chelsea sleep walking again. El Nino looks like he has relapsed and his fear of putting the ball in the net has him all kinds of gun shy again.

Hopefully he and the rest of the squad regain some of their form and get 3 from Fulham who appear to only have one quality player on the pitch (Berbatov).

Quite the calamity of a goal line clearance by Spurs. Gerrard's far post header is cleared off the line by Aaron Lennon only to smash Gareth Bale in the face & go in for the own goal. 2-1 Spurs, 74th minute. Are Spurs REALLY going to blow another game this late ?

That was the Premier League equivalent of the Mark Sanchez butt-fumble. What a debacle.

City on the board. Balotelli bags one off a rebound from a Gareth Barry shot. 1-0 City, 70th minute.

Lawd have mercy that was a screamer. James Milner with an unstoppable shot to the upper right corner. Al Habsi had no chance to save that. 2-0 City, 75th minute.

Full time scores from the 2:45 games (Home team listed first)

Chelsea 0-0 Fulham
Everton 1-1 Arsenal
Southampton 1-1 Norwich
Stoke 2-1 Newcastle
Swansea 3-1 West Brom
Spurs 2-1 Liverpool

Another goal less home draw for Chelsea, Newcastle still suck, West Brom got taught a harsh 1st half lesson & Spurs actually held onto a lead for once.

United beat West Ham 1-0 at home after RVP scored 31 seconds into the game. City scored twice a few minutes apart, including an absolute howitzer of a shot from James Milner to win 2-0 at Wigan. Looks like the Manchester duo at the top are beginning to slowly pull away, especially if Chelsea continues to struggle under Benitez.

Spurs hang on for the full compliment of points against Liverpool. Thank goodness Suarez couldn't finish today.

Liverpool have been great at missed chances off the woodwork, disallowed goals for off sides that look questionable at best, etc.. Driving me nuts.

They're close, but really seem to need another scorer to compliment Suarez. Not sure they're going to get one in January, though.
