The first gimmick-like play or two that Meyer runs will work at least to an extent (i.e. gain some yards, probably a 1st down), prompting a quarter of "offensive genius in the same class as Charlie Weis" spooge...then the next 2 or 3 of those plays, which will be run in more important situations as the game wears on, we will stuff completely.

I agree, I think we may see a heavy dose of running game tonight, and not just from the Beanie.
They claim they will be trying to blitz and pressure Troy.

The converse of the Michigan game in other words - use the running game to open up the passing game against a blitzing Defense.

Once they commit to having multiple defenders in the box hit them with the pass.

In response to Florida's razzle dazzle gimmicks, Ohio State demonstrates their own trick play, lining up in the Power I and actually handing the ball to Dionte Johnson. :tongue2:

Oh yeah, and since Yao's participation is supposedly limited tonight, TG II finally makes his CB debut, in his final game as Buckeye! They'll move Dustin Fox to Safety to make room for him.

OK, I live under a rock... (It's called Cincinnati) What's up with Yao that's going to limit his PT?

BIG FUCKING DEAL: The front page of the Cincinnati ENQUIRER ran a story on the Buckeyes and a picture of some OSU fans getting their spirit gear going.... of course the story and photo on page one of the sports pages was one of Urban and the Gators running onto the field. This town bugs me.

Yao was hurt. He should be 100% tonight though. Check his thread there is more info about it.

I predict Leak throws 2 interceptions and U of Phoenix Stadium runs out of beer! (I'm in Scottsdale for the game and both OSU bars have run out of beer on more than 1 occasion! They don't understand how the Buckeyes roll)
