PRAXIS GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Ginn & Juice

I enjoy home-made ice cream
I have a major problem with the Praxis...You want to talk about a money making scheme...Someone needs to sue their asses dry....Here's why...I am an education major and you are required to pass this series of test before you teach....It is a 3 series test (PRAXIS, I,II,III).......

First thing is first...You have a deadline to register for a test...If you miss the deadline, then you are required to pay a late fee of like $40....Once you finally take the test. It takes another month to receive your score..The catch is...The deadline to sign up for the next test is before you get your results of the previous test...So you pretty much have to sign up for the next test before you know whether you passed or not....If you don't pass then you will have to pay the late fee for the next one ($40)....Then if you do pass the first test...Then you have to call and cancel your registration for the next test which is another $50....I guess you should just pass it the first time and you don't have to worry......One other thing is that you can get your scores early BUT it cost for that too...Can't remember how much ($20-$50) I think........Hope this makes sense...

I HATE Praxis. I took the Spanish and the Principles of Education and fortunately passed on both the first try. Those two cost me around $160 total.

Also...if you hate it already, don't lose your scores. Yeah...that 5 cent piece of paper with your official results on it is another $35 if you want a 2nd copy. Did you know that the people they hire to grade them are pulled off the streets and paid BY THE TEST??? Is that nuts or what??? I was told this by professors...how sad.

How aboput the fact that a few years ago a bunch of them got all fucked up when it was graded I know of at least one person who lost a job because they said he failed it, but in reality when they found the mistake he passed it. Of course by the time the mistake was found it was a few months later and the job was filled.

I know he is/was part of a lawsuit against the company. I haven't heard much about what is going on with the lawsuit.

You sure about that?

I thought it was a bunch of Ohio Proficiency tests that were graded incorrectly.
