Jo's with the Maternal Fetal Medicine group because of her age.
Hey! I,m happy to hear the news. Glad you have even more to be thankful for with a daughter on the way. It sounds as you have the same fight to get around as I do so I will play for your health.Haven't been on as much as I would have liked this season. Some of you know I had a bit of a health collapse in August and was in and out of the hospital, including (but not limited to) a stay for nearly a week as they tried to get my issues under control. Still not "right" after all of that, where "right" is merely my normal crappy baseline, but things are fairly well managed at this point.
I thought I'd take the mixed emotional (beat Michigan, perhaps lost JT) opportunity here to announce what we feel is decidedly happy news.
Jo (Longwood) is 37 weeks (on Monday) pregnant, and we expect our first (and no doubt last, we're old) child on or before mid December. We've known for a few months that she's going to be a little girl, and the name that we seem to have settled upon is Elise Juliette Bryant. Side note, we have *not* gone public with this news yet, so if you're friends with Jo on Facebook and want to send her a note, please do so privately as we literally haven't told many beyond family, staff here, and now you guys. It was important to us to announce here first, as we really do consider the community here our extended family.
So, on behalf of myself, Jo, and (if all goes well) little Elise -- belated happy Thanksgiving to all of you, I hope everyone is heading towards a very happy Christmas, here's hoping JT is okay, that we can put either Minnesota or Wisconsin away next week with or without him, and that Kosta Karageorge is found well.
