Another positive is that the bandwagon should soon be departing from Columbus. I believe their next stop will be in Madison, which will be great news for some as they will only have to slightly alter their color scheme.
If we don't have a QB with any confidence, this IS next year. I'm positive we're in big trouble. And I am not sure this week's game is going to fix anything, either. Penn State beat Indiana 52-7 last year...and finished 3-9. We have more things to work on than can be solved in a week, but we'd better get to most of them, becuase there are no gimmies on the schedule.
We'll have QBs with game experience next year, barring freakish occurance.
We'll have a D-Line with game experience next year.
Our O-Line will have had an ENTIRE YEAR.
Our offensive backfiend will not contain the names Lydell Ross or Maurice Hall (though at this point I think it's safe to say that most RB would struggle) net year.
(We can hope) we'll be returning 9 defensive starters next year. (am I forgetting someone other than Fox or Fraser? boy would I feel dumb...)
We'll have an entire offseason to fix what's wrong.
2005 is supposed to be our year. Let's hope that games 8-11 (and maybe a game 12) give us something to look forward to. We'll go from a young team to a veteran team in one year... thus is the way college football.
