The thing to look at is how narrow the gap has gotten between OSU and ND.

Less than 50 votes in each poll iirc.

They look anything less than dominant next week vs Stanford and we will jump them in the human polls imo.
there's no way we pass ND unless they lose. Common sense would have us in front of them and we aren't there....how are you going to rely on common sense to take hold now?

Well we picked up abot 50 votes on ND in both the AP and Coaches poll over the past week so, like I said the sentiment is out there. Its at least being openly discussed and debated in the national media. Thats a start.

If ND struggles with a pretty hapless Stanford team, it could happen. If they go hammer Stanford like they should, then obviously it will not.

That's true, and the fact of the matter is that it wouldn't matter even if we did pass them up by a spot in the polls, because as long as ND is at least #12 in the BCS, they're going to a top bowl.

Others Receiving Votes:
Iowa St. 100, Iowa 57, South Carolina 45, Colorado 24, South Florida 22, UCF 12, Oklahoma 10, Minnesota 9, UTEP 6, California 5, Boise St. 2, Northwestern 2.

My vote for coach fo the year? George O'Leary.

UCF was 0-11 last year. And wasn't that close. They got pummelled relentlessly as O'Leary was booting bad seeds off the team and installing his system.

Saturday, UCF clinched the ConfernceUSA East and will likely play UTEP in the CCG for a shot at a good bowl game.

Fucking incredible turnaround. Now watch him recruit. The big three in Florida need to worry about UCF and USF. They are going to make waves.

Ha did you see his comment about scUM? "Sagarin rates U-M schedule as nation's toughest." Good excuse for a 4 loss season. BTW tOSU is barely behind them with the 2nd toughest schedule, and prob woulda passed them if they had beaten wisky or ND...not that it matters.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt05.htm

Most of the computer ratings that I have seen have TSUN, Ohio State, Northwestern and Minnesota as the four roughest schedules. Remember, there is an important difference between our schedule and TSUN's schedule that is in their favor:

We didn't have to play Ohio State! :osu: :slappy:
