I think this is genius. It's not too much of a move from their current brand image (We suck!) and then they could move to "We blow" over a number of years.

Last three charged players plead guilty in Michigan State fight

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Three more Michigan State football players have pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges stemming from a Nov. 22 fight on campus with fraternity members.

Defensive tackle Oren Wilson pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of assault and battery. Defensive back Chris L. Rucker and receiver Myles White each pleaded guilty to one count. Conspiracy charges against the players were dropped.

All 11 current or former Michigan State players charged in the case have pleaded guilty and await sentencing.

The assault and battery charges have a penalty of up to 93 days in jail. Many of the players could avoid jail time.

Citadel quarterback charged in armed robbery

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A quarterback for The Citadel has been charged with three others in connection with an armed robbery of a man at his home, Charleston police said Sunday.

Miguel Starks, 19, and former Citadel player linebacker Reginald Anthony Rice, 22, were charged Saturday with armed robbery, first-degree burglary, kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said in a news release.

Francis said two College of Charleston students also were arrested in connection with the case. Stephen Horace Francois, 20, was charged with armed robbery, kidnapping and first-degree burglary and Sasha Gaskins, 18, was charged with accessory after the fact.

The arrests were first reported by The Post and Courier of Charleston.

Francis said a woman who knew the victim got him to open his garage door by saying she was having car trouble. Three men forced the victim back into the house at gunpoint, tied him up and took his wallet, electronic equipment and jewelry.

The victim freed himself, reported the robbery and described the suspects.

This Citadel stuff keeps getting deeper and deeper... I live in Charleston now and the news is crazy here... Turns out this kid had a charge for statutory rape as a minor..... He was going to be the starter this fall but is currently academically ineligible....One of the people he robbed was the Offensive Quality Control Coach! (This would be like an academically ineligible Terrelle Pryor robbing Kieth Uecker.)

"What would you say he looked like?"
"He looks like the kid I just watched film with for the last 4 hours."

I am speechless.

UO cheerleader charged with DUI, MIP | University News

A University of Oregon cheerleader was cited on suspicion of drunken driving and minor in possession of alcohol Saturday night.

Eugene police say a bike patrol officer investigated after seeing 18-year-old Molly Maginnis hit the curb several times while trying to parallel park a black Chevy Equinox at Patterson and 18th in Eugene.

She has a court appearance scheduled for March 15.
